My Actifit Report Card: May 15 2022

Went the distance on this one as they finally created the trail between Northampton and Converse North Park.

Apart from having to carefully traverse one street and hop over a guardrail, the progress has been pretty decent with the city's building project for this park.

Unfortunately, they ran out of funds so the over the road walking bridge plan had to be scrapped. In lieu of that, the city will be installing walking signals but that hasn't happened just yet.

All and all, this is a pretty decent trail connecting two parks with a lot to offer. Quiet wooded trails in Northampton and fishing in Converse North for instance. I am by no means a fisherman but am interested in learning the ins and out such as setting up my own rig, right tackle to use, tying the knot etc.

Glad to share this episode of my fitness journey. Hope it inspires others to get out there and get fit. 💪

Sounds like a very nice hiking jogging park even if part of the bridge had to be scrapped because of cost! Congratulations on a healthy 12 K @actifit step day!!

I had been in a relative slump but have always been very good with endurance running. One of my fellow Marines gave me the nickname Gazelle during Comm School. Lol

Only thing is my daughter's doc recommended I not due to the Ehlers Danlos condition her and I were diagnosed which can lead to joint hyper mobility among other issues. I followed these instructions but eventually decided to start light jogging for the mental health benefit.

I try to be cautious how I plant my feet so as to not cause to much impact on my joints. I seem to fare well so benefits outweigh the risk in my judgement. For my physical therapy, they had me do elliptical and recumbent bike but I just find it way too boring to do for very long.

I like actually moving, going somewhere, feeling the wind around me etc. Helps me clear my head.

been kind of busy recently so I'm not in my best form but when it comes to working out or doing physical stuff the outdoors are the best
