Hello everyone, how're you doing. Hope you're all fine. This is actually my first time to share any post in this community of #SportTalkSocial as it is managed by both @sports-gov and @sportstalksocial which you can follow to see other people's posts about sports.
The English Cup League has been in existence from 1960 till date and the EFL was formed from the English League football. As of the time of writing or recently, the English Cup League is now popularly recognized as the Carabao Cup. The Carabao Cup is among the top leading trophies in English League and as long as men's domestic league is concerned. You cannot mention the most important tournament in English League without mentioning the Carabao Cup. The Carabao Cup is a knockout league that’s made for about 92 clubs from the English League side. The cup is among the most interesting league from the English League because of its knockout reasons.
To be honest with you, I have never watched this match before or I may have watched the Carabao cup without knowing the name of the trophy but I was able to watch the Chelsea-Liverpool Carabao match held on the 27th February 2022. The match was really a tough one. Chelsea has won the title about five times from 1964 to 1965, 1997 to 1998, 2004 to 2005, 2006 to 2007, and 2014 to 2015 and presently lost the 2022 final against Liverpool in a penalty shootout by 10-11.
The Chelsea loss of the Carabao cup of 2022 gave the Red devils Liverpool the opportunity to have won the cup for about the ninth time making them the most winner of the Carabao Cup. Liverpool English football club has won the Carabao Cup from 1980 to 1981, 1981 to 1982, 1982 to 1983, 1983 to 1984, 1994 to 1995, 2000 to 2001, 2022 to 2003 2011 to 2012, and the present 2021 to 2022.
The 2022 Carabao Cup League final against Chelsea and Liverpool was indeed a nice and interesting game because both clubs played well but Chelsea would have stood a chance of winning the trophy but it didn’t work out well for the blues as they played well and missed chances with offside by scoring three goals that would have to give them the trophy.
According to VAR and the referees who officiated the Carabao Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool at Wembley Stadium on 27th February 2022, the three goals that Chelsea scored from offside was discounted by the referees while the Red devils Liverpool scored their own one offside goal which was also discounted by VAR and the referees as well.
The two clubs really played well in the Carabao Cup final 2022 by playing a full-time drawled by goalless. They also played an extra time goalless draw after they also played a 90 minutes goalless draw. The match was really tough as I and others never expected that way but that’s really football for you. In football, anything can happen.
After the whole struggle play from the two clubs, the match ended in a penalty shootout.
Statistical Analysis of the Carabao Cup Final 2022:
The Chelsea-Liverpool Carabao Cup final 2022 took effect by 4:30 pm GMT at Wembley Stadium. The match occurred on Sunday of the 27th of February 2022.
In the ball possession of the first and second half of the match, believe me, Chelsea took the ball possession starting from the kick-off of the match. Chelsea football club started well from the beginning of the match to the end of the 90 minutes and even from the beginning of the extra time to the end. Chelsea really wanted to win at least if not for the fans but also for the country Ukraine.
From the beginning of the second half, Chelsea also started well by marking well. Thou the two clubs marked well in the second half but Chelsea took the lead in the marking possession in both the first and second half of the match.
Looking at the ball control, complete pass, and even ball assistance Chelsea also took the lead in the second half after so many changes were made by the Chelsea manager. Chelsea gathered more strength to play in the extra time period than to be compared to the Liverpool players.
In the first half of the match, no card was given either Red or Yellow. In the second half, the referee decided to give out cards.
The number of corners was not matched in the match which proved that the match was really tough for both clubs.
At the end of the whole Chelsea struggle, Liverpool took the Carabao cup title for the ninth time in the history of the EFL.
