Este fin de semana dará comienzo una nueva edición de la Liga de Fútbol de Playa que se juega en la Habana, Cuba. Un total de 14 equipos disputarán el campeonato con formato de liga, a una vuelta. Uno de los equipos implicado en el torneo será el Miramar United. El conjunto fundado en 2013 ha participado de manera ininterrumpida a lo largo de 9 años, alternando entre la primera y segunda categoría. Su mejor resultado en Segunda división fue el subtitulo alcanzado en 2016 que le propició el ascenso directo a Primera División, donde su mejor resultado ha sido un séptimo lugar. La plantilla la conforman un total de 21 jugadores que aspiran a mejorar su mejor posición histórica esta temporada.
A new edition of the Beach Soccer League played in Havana, Cuba, will begin this weekend. A total of 14 teams will compete in the championship in a one-round league format. One of the teams involved in the tournament will be Miramar United. The team founded in 2013 has participated uninterruptedly for 9 years, alternating between the first and second division. Their best result in Second Division was the subtitle achieved in 2016 which led to direct promotion to First Division, where their best result has been a seventh place. The squad is made up of a total of 21 players who aspire to improve their best historical position this season.
El último torneo realizado por los rojillos fue La Liga de Pretemporada, donde alcanzaron el noveno lugar. Luego de un inicio titubeante lograron enderezar el rumbo a base de buen juego y con destaque para su delantero centro Jean Paul, autor de 10 goles (entre los primeros del torneo). Miramar tiene un juego directo y gusta de salir jugando desde la defensa, aunque esto les ha traído uno que otro contratiempo que ha acabado en goles de sus rivales. Su parado en la cancha varía dependiendo del contrario, si su oponente es un equipo superior a priori, suelen pararse con dos líneas de cuatro bien definidas y con dos delanteros en punta, su táctica contra estos conjuntos es la de esperar en medio campo y ser más compactos en defensa, esperando el más mínimo chance para marcar, aprovechando el buen hacer de sus delanteros, el ya antes mencionado Jean Paul y Karel González. Contra equipos inferiores gustan de jugar un 4-3-3, buscando siempre presionar al rival y jugar en vertical.
The last tournament played by the Reds was La Liga de Pretemporada, where they reached ninth place. After a shaky start, they managed to get back on track with good play and a highlight for their center forward Jean Paul, who scored 10 goals (among the top goals of the tournament). Miramar has a direct game and likes to play out of defense, although this has brought them one or two setbacks that have ended in goals from their rivals. If their opponent is a superior team a priori, they usually play with two well-defined lines of four and with two strikers up front, their tactic against these teams is to wait in midfield and be more compact in defense, waiting for the slightest chance to score, taking advantage of the good work of their strikers, the aforementioned Jean Paul and Karel Gonzalez. Against inferior teams they like to play a 4-3-3, always looking to press the opponent and play vertically.
Esta temporada puede ser histórica para el conjunto del oeste de la capital cubana. Han conformado un buen equipo, con algunas incorporaciones importantes en todas las líneas del juego como son los casos de Luis Alvares en la portería, Henry en la defensa central , Ismael en el lateral izquierdo, que también puede jugar en el medio campo y Abdul para la delantera. El equipo se ha preparado bien tanto mental como físicamente para el reto que tienen por delante. La aspiración es quedar entre los cuatro primeros teniendo en cuenta los buenos resultados obtenidos en los últimos partidos de preparación. El primer encuentro será contra el campeón de la pasada edición, por lo que será un duro reto y un excelente medidor para el equipo.
This season could be historic for the team from the west of the Cuban capital. They have put together a good team, with some important additions in all lines of play, such as Luis Alvares in goal, Henry in central defense, Ismael at left back, who can also play in the midfield and Abdul up front. The team has prepared well both mentally and physically for the challenge ahead. The aspiration is to finish in the top four considering the good results obtained in the last preparation matches. The first match will be against last year's champions, so it will be a tough challenge and an excellent gauge for the team.
