Dzisiaj w ramach relaksu po solidnym sprzątaniu w domu poszliśmy sobie z Bomblem nad rozlewisko. A tam coś nowego!

Today, as part of relaxation after a thorough cleaning at home, we went with the Baby to the Valley. And there was something new there!

Pomimo upływającego czasu i postępujących zmian w otoczeniu - Dolina Kochłówki nadal posiada wysoką wartość przyrodniczą - nadal zamieszkuje ją wiele gatunków zwierząt i stanowi doskonały przykład lokalnego korytarza ekologicznego.

I will paste the text from the board to make it more readable:
Kochłówka (also described as Potok Biolszowicki) is a small river flowing through the areas of Ruda Śląska and Zabrze. Its sources are located on the border of Chorzów Batory and Kochłowice. After about 14 km, it flows out as a right-bank tributary to Kłodnica in Zabrze Makoszowy.
From the geological point of view, the Kochłówka Valley is an old Tertiary gutter erosively filled with Quaternary - Pleistocene and Holocene sediments.
The oldest traces of human activity within the Kochłówka Valley date back to at least the Middle Ages. The remnants (mound and moat) of a small stronghold from around the 14th century, probably part of the defense system of the former Duchy of Bytom or a knight's seat, are perfectly preserved. Despite the passage of time and progressive changes in the environment - the Kochłówka Valley still has a high natural value - it is still inhabited by many species of animals and is an excellent example of a local ecological corridor.
During the migration period, in addition to birds considered common, many birds considered rare in the voivodeship and country, and additionally included in the Red List of Endangered Species in the European Directives, stop here. Spotted here were: a similar heron, a little gull, shovels, ruffles, a bird-like heron, a macaw, kingfishers, a traveler.
The natural value of the Kochłówka Valley is also confirmed by the presence of many representatives of amphibians and reptiles, including those listed in the European Directives: crested newts, toads and tree frogs.
On summer evenings, prowling bats can be observed above the surface of the largest reservoir in the valley - they are also considered rare and are also subject to legal protection. A mycological curiosity is the presence of fungi here - the giant skullcap - a fungus under strict protection until 2014.

Grodzisko Kochłowickie - średniowieczny Gródek typu motte, położony w widłach Kochlówki i niewielkiego cieku, wpadającego do niej od północy. Obiekt powstał XIV wieku, a spłonął w niewyjaśnionych okolicznościach przed połową XV wieku.

Grodzisko Kochłowickie - a medieval motte-type settlement located at the forks of Kochłówka and a small watercourse flowing into it from the north. It was built in the 14th century, and it burned down in mysterious circumstances before the mid-15th century. This oldest monument of Ruda Śląska still has a well-preserved moat, which surrounded it from the north, and a high mound on which a wooden tower stood centuries ago. During archaeological research, numerous fragments of pottery, iron nails and stove tiles were found here.

W ramach Budżetu Obywatelskiego 2021 wybrany został do realizacji m.in. Projekt pt.

As part of the Civic Budget 2021, among others, Project entitled Time to relax in the Kochłówki Valley, including placing information boards with photos taken by residents and benches.
Unfortunately, it was not possible to put them in the most convenient place, along the long path, because it is not a city terrain, but a bit further. But the view from that spot turned out to be quite interesting.
