[PL / ENG] Jarmark świąteczny w Katowicach (lepiej późno, niż wcale) / Christmas market in Katowice

Nie było nam po drodze w tym roku, ale w końcu się udało - po robocie zebraliśmy się na jarmark świąteczny. Pomimo tego, że już po świętach, ludzi była masa. Może, tak jak i mnie, skusiła ich dość wysoka temperatura? Nie powiem, było całkiem przyjemnie, ja tam nie potrzebuję mroźnych temperatur do szczęścia.

We weren't on our way this year, but we finally made it - after work we gathered for the Christmas market. Despite the fact that it was after Christmas, there were a lot of people. Maybe, like me, they were tempted by a rather high temperature? I won't say it was quite nice, I don't need freezing temperatures to be happy.

Jarmark jak to jarmark - pełno ozdób świątecznych i świecidełek. Pełno ludzi. A połowa budek już nieczynna.

A fair is a fair - full of Christmas decorations and trinkets. Full of people. And half of the booths are already closed.

Było niemało kiczu i tandety. Nie jest to miejsce, które chciałabym odwiedzać regularnie, ale jak się ma odpowiedni nastrój świąteczny (albo się go poszukuje) - to może być całkiem miło.

There was a lot of kitsch and ugliness. It's not a place I'd like to visit regularly, but if you're in the right Christmas mood (or are looking for it), it can be quite nice.

Były też atrakcje jak sanie renifera, miś czy bałwany, ale do każdej z nich stał ogonek ludzi chętnych do zrobienia sobie zdjęcia. Oczywiście, czego się nie zrobi dla Bombla?

There were also attractions such as a reindeer sleigh, a teddy bear or snowmen, but to each of them there was a queue of people willing to take a picture. Of course, what won't you do for the Baby?

Dość sporo miejsca zajmowała taka dość oryginalna pleciona szopka.

Quite a lot of space was occupied by such a rather original woven nativity scene.

Chciałabym w tym miejscu też zaznaczyć, że dzielnie reklamowaliśmy HiveBlog, a odbiorców tej reklamy, jeszcze raz podkreślam, była cała masa.
