Can Real Madrid Pick up the Treble this Season?

Los Blancos has picked up just two losses in all competitions since the season began back in August last year. Those losses came at the hands of Paris Saint Germain in their first Uefa Champions League game of the season and against Mallorca in the league.

The team were apparently lacking in so many areas of the pitch in those games and were never close to playing like the top team they were especially against PSG in which they failed to register a shot on target. Against Mallorca, however, was where it all ended and something new started.

Real Madrid became consistent, effective upfront and extremely solid at the back in which Thubait Courtois who was then at the mercy of the fans’ criticism is currently on the run for a Zamora trophy.

Real Madrid has never lost a match since then and have gone on to draw or win big games which has made them current leaders in La Liga, in the quarters of the Copa Del Rey and in the knockout stage of the Uefa Champions League, set to face English giants, Manchester City.

It appears Real Madrid is gunning for every trophy available. They have already lifted one this season, the Spanish Super Cup. A win against Real Sociedad on Thursday and a win against Manchester City in the Uefa Champions League later this month will further prove that they mean business this season.

The club has never won a treble in their history as a club, is this the year they break that jinx?
