Lo prometido es deuda, a continuación la aventura pendiente del post anterior "Una semana variada y divertida", el domingo lo reservamos para recorrer 61.6 kilómetros en la carretera de montaña del parque Henry Pittier rumbo a Ocumare de la Costa (Aragua-Venezuela) donde nos aguardaban acontecimientos que les iré contando en orden cronológico. Comenzó el domingo 17/07/2023, a las 7 a.m cuando salimos desde nuestras casas hasta la alcabala del Limón recorriendo los primeros 14 kilómetros aproximadamente.

Los compañeros: Dari, Gaby, Manuel y Johan nos acompañaron hasta la capilla de la virgen, luego de la alcabala fuimos haciendo escalas en los puntos de la carretera que se han convertidos en espacios de referencia. La primera estación recibe el nombre de Guamita, hicimos una breve parada, para continuar a la segunda estación llamada Neverita, la tercera parada fué en el Mirador, allí conseguimos compañeros con quienes compartimos merienda, continuamos subiendo hasta alcanzar la cumbre de Portachuelo.

The companions: Dari, Gaby, Manuel, and Johan accompanied us to the chapel of the Virgin, after the point of control we made stops at the points of the road that have become reference points. Alcanzamos el punto mas alto de la montaña para comenzar a bajar, desde allí hasta el sector de la Trilla es puro descenso, se activó la adrenalina, la emoción y por supuesto la precaución, la temperatura cambió inmediatamente(frío y humedad), pavimento irregular, transito vehicular considerable, lo que mas asusta en esta vía son los autobuses, preferimos detenernos y esperar que avancen (el ruido de la corneta es ensordecedor). Avanzamos hasta llegar a la capilla de la virgen, nuestros compañeros nos acompañaron hasta allí.

Nos despedimos y continuamos por esta carretera de curvas interminables, las manos y los hombros se tensan, hicimos dos paradas para reposar y enfriar los frenos. Desde la virgen al pueblo aún faltaban 29 kilómetros aproximadamente. Fuimos descendiendo disfrutando del paisaje, sintiendo la brisa y la adrenalina por todo el cuerpo. Pasamos el sector conocido como La Trilla, desde este punto el clima y la carretera cambia nuevamente (alta temperatura), se encuentran falsos planos, de allí en adelante el pedaleo fué constante hasta que llegamos al arco de la entrada al pueblo.

We said goodbye and continued on this road of endless curves, hands, and shoulders tense, we made two stops to rest and cool the brakes. From the virgin to the village there were still approximately 29 kilometers to go. We went down enjoying the scenery, feeling the breeze and adrenaline throughout the body. Entramos al pueblo como a las 12 y 30 p.m, la familia de Claudia nos esperaban, nos acercamos a un kiosko de comida típica para refrescamos y comer, luego nos fuimos a duchar y cambiar, para ir a la playa, pero no pudimos estar mucho tiempo porque queríamos presenciar el ritual tradicional del pueblo que consiste en llevar a los santos bailando tambores por las calles hasta la iglesia la cual estaba adornada con muchas flores, me encantó un barco con la imagen de la virgen, la fiesta era en conmemoración al día de nuestra señora del Carmen, patrona del ejercito.

Lunes 18/07/2023, comenzó temprano este día, luego de una noche de celebración y parrilla en familia, fué destinado para disfrutarlo en la playa la Cienaga, para quienes la conocen saben que su belleza es indescriptible, en lo particular pienso que es un pedazo de cielo en la tierra (imaginen su belleza), se llega en lancha con un tiempo aproximado de 40 minutos, es un poco complicado el paso de la virgen (así le llaman) porque se forman olas de tamaño considerable cuando el mar está agitado y levanta las lanchas, realmente es atemorizante, pero se tomaron las medidas y todos llevamos salvavidas.

Monday 18/07/2023, began early this day, after a night of celebration and barbecue with the family, was destined to enjoy it on the beach the Cienaga, for those who know it know that its beauty is indescribable, in particular I think it is a piece of heaven on earth (imagine its beauty), it is reached by boat with an approximate time of 40 minutes, it is a little complicated the pass of the virgin (so they call it) because waves of considerable size are formed when the sea is rough and lifts the boats, it is really scary, but measures were taken and we all carry life jackets.

Sentí que el tiempo se detuvo; la serenidad del agua, el contraste de azules del mar con el verde de las montañas, en la orilla el agua era cristalina y cálida, donde posaba mis ojos la naturaleza imponía su belleza, conectar con esta grandeza hizo que fuese extasiante, así pasé parte de la mañana...¡embelesada! En la tarde, alquilamos 3 kayak y nos fuimos a explorar los alrededores de la playa (primera vez para las tres), es un deporte exigente pero al rato le agarramos el ritmo, fué muy divertido pasear y alejarnos de la orilla de la playa. El regreso estuvo tranquilo, el paso de la virgen no fué tan agitado. En la noche hubo otra parrilla en familia la cual quedó exquisita. El martes fué el retorno a casa, llegamos con el corazón contento, agradecidas porque la vida nos sigue premiando.

I felt that time stood still; the serenity of the water, the contrast of the blue of the sea with the green of the mountains, on the shore the water was crystal clear and warm, wherever I laid my eyes nature imposed its beauty, connecting with this greatness made it ecstatic, so I spent part of the morning...enraptured! In the afternoon, we rented 3 kayaks and went to explore the surroundings of the beach (the first time for the three of us), it is a demanding sport but after a while we got the rhythm, it was fun to walk and get away from the shore of the beach. The return trip was calm, the "virgin's pass" was not so hectic. In the evening there was another exquisite family barbecue. Tuesday was the return home, we arrived home with a happy heart, thankful that life continues to reward us.
