Rencong Warriors Slay Rimueng FC, Top the Standings

Rencong Warriors FC put on a stunning display, thrashing Rimueng FC 4-0 in the Malikussaleh University Friendship League match at the Bukit Indah Campus Field, Blang Pulo, Lhokseumawe, Aceh, Indonesia, on Thursday, October 16, 2025.

After facing some resistance in the first half, Rencong Warriors then treated Rimueng FC like a circus tiger. Despite being bolstered by Yusmahdi and goalkeeper Muhammad Khadafi, Rimueng were rendered powerless by Ayi Jufridar and his teammates. Rencong Warriors players repeatedly attacked Rimueng's defense from various angles.

The Rencong Warriors' first goal was scored by team captain Ayi Jufridar from the penalty spot. The penalty was awarded after striker Rizky Putra was fouled by Juni Ahyar in the box. Ayi calmly fired a shot into the right corner of the goal, too far for Gaddafi to reach despite his best efforts.

Trailing 0-1, Yusmahdi and his teammates tried to rally in the second half. Their attacks nearly resulted in a goal. However, the Rencong Warriors' neat defense, guarded by Ayi, Rahmadi, Sudirman, and Fauzul Hakim, made the Rencong attacks easily thwarted. Even goalkeeper Imam Syawali was largely silent as Rimueng had few shots on target.

In the 24th minute of the second half, Gaddafi's goal was breached again through a shot from Rizky Putra. Nine minutes later, it was Tulus Setiawan's turn to force the Unimal Faculty of Social and Political Sciences alumnus to pry the ball out of the net.
