Today Chelsea faced Arsenal. Usually, before these matches, I'm usually pumped and a bit nervous, but this time was different. Even though we won our last match, for the first time in a while I wasn't confident we had what it takes to beat Arsenal. The team has been lackluster recently and Arsenal is flying at the moment. They've only lost one game all season.

I tried to be optimistic but I just couldn't. We just haven't looked good enough, even when we win. I've just been numb when it comes to issues concerning the club.

I wasn't around to start the game from the beginning but from what I heard, and the stats it was clear Arsenal dominated the game. I was a bit surprised we hadn't conceded and If you'd asked me I'd take a draw. So naturally, I started hoping that we may hold out for a draw ( how the mighty have fallen). Well that didn't happen as Arsenal eventually got their well deserved lead thanks to Gabriel Magalhaes. Even after they got the goal we didn't look dangerous enough. Only a few players looked like they wanted to equalize while the others looked like they'd given up on the match.

Not surprisingly the game ended like that, 1-0. Though I wasn't expecting a win, I expected a bit more from Chelsea. Especially since it is supposed to be a London derby. But I guess that doesn't matter to them. The only bright side of things was that Man U lost to Aston Villa afterward so they took over the headlines.

I've been on Twitter and I've been seeing a lot of people blaming Potter, Saying things like " Tuchel would have done this." and there's some even asking for him to be sacked. As for me even though he bears some responsibility I put my own blame on majorly the players.

For a long time now (since the days of Lampard) Chelsea hasn't been great offensively and it's something that has carried on since then till now. Once Tuchel even said, "We have the same problems because we have the same players." When different coaches keep coming and leaving for the same problems It's obvious the players are the problem. Maybe this set of Chelsea players just aren't good enough technically and one shouldn't expect too much from them, because at this point is really baffling why they're so poor.

At this point, I've already lowered my standard for the season. Because It looks like we may not even make the top 4 which has looked like our birthright for so long. Even Newcastle who we play next look to have a better chance of securing the top 4 than us. It's just to take whatever we see and hope next season there's a rebirth. Despite the negative comments I still believe Potter can do a good job.
