Rain. Step. Music!

I didn't even know. Never sure I saw it right the first time, but there it was. The notification that wasn't cleared off the night before. Five thousand 600 hundred and something steps. I smiled. The kind that reached the soul.

I knew I went out a lot yesterday. First, for a short walk, then a much longer one that made it to night fall and had me with a more quickened step as the wind grew heavier. It was going to rai... well, I never did get to finish my sentence when the first drop hit my left leg. It was warm. Home was still minutes away, but I knew I would be home before the sky let out its screams.

I was right. The moment I opened the gate, walked into the compound and finally opened my front door. The battle began. Platter of rain took hold of the earth's tune. It was beautiful. I loved it, and I did a lot of smiling.

The windows were opened, and I closed them a little, just enough for the wind to do its job. The air was cold enough to switch off the fan before I started unpacking what had taken me out in the first place. It took a lot of lifting, moving left and right for minutes before I finally settled. Not to sleep. But a little exercise to stretch the body more than it already was before shower came and food.

I never even bothered to check my activity for the day. I haven't been doing that for a while. Keeping tabs on them and all. And I would have missed the activity report if not that I didn't clear off my notification before sleeping. So, it was there when I woke up and I was glad when I saw it.

Today is another day. I did go out (though I didn't go with any of my gadgets). It was just an early outside run) and will have to go out again before the sky finally calls it a night. I wonder what today's activity count will be. If it'll be up to 5k or just less.

Because it rained last night in such a loving way that even made today's weather better, here are some tunes for an amazing day.

This was and still is one of my favorite songs. Since the tide was high yesterday, I think this song fits in.

Country roads. For this, I don't know why I chose it for now. I just basically like the song... a big lot. So that says it all.

Dad is on a hunting trip and hasn't been home in a few days. That line started the series and made something wonderful outta it.

Carry on my wayward son. THE.BEST! I freaking adore it as Dean does his baby(Impala). That's another "it" from me.

Still yours truly,

Thanks for reading and listening.

Peace be unto those who crave it and more to those who chase it away.
