With Brighton, Everton & Wolves in a row, will Arsenal remain top of the table?

As a proud supporter of Manchester City, I’ll be honest!

I’m watching Arsenal’s next three fixtures very closely. Brighton (4 Mar), vs Everton (14/15 Mar), vs Wolves (21 Mar)in succession, and I don't see the Gunners coming through with so much ease.

First, let’s talk about Brighton!
We all know that Brighton & Hove Albion are not pushovers. They press well and are tactically disciplined. Even when they may not dominate possession, they can destabilize Arsenal's rhythm. Brighton’s style can disrupt the flow of Arsenal's structured buildup, patient progression, and wide overload. If Arsenal drop points against Brighton, then could exert pressure on them.

For Everton, they are emotionally intense, especially in big games. They can turn matches into physical battles. I see Arsenal grinding out a 1–0 when flair isn’t working. On the other hand, Wolverhampton Wanderers are unpredictable. They often defend hard against teams chasing the title, and sit deep and wait for transitions.

As City fans, we understand something about this phase of the season. Under Pep Guardiola, Manchester City have mastered the art of late-season acceleration. When others blink, City usually don’t. The experience of managing pressure, squad rotation, and tactical adjustments will become decisive in March and April.

Arsenal have improved tremendously in mentality compared to previous seasons. I give it to them. They look more composed, but being top in early March is different from finishing top in May. The psychological load grows heavier with every matchday.

If Arsenal take 7–9 points from these three games, they may retain their spot till the later part of the season . Anything less, especially a draw and a loss, will give City some early headsup.

Let me close by sharing the sentiment that Arsenal’s fixtures over the next two weeks look manageable, but the title race is rarely about difficulty, it’s about consistency under pressure. "Will they remain top?" is the question that is left unanswered yet.

If Arsenal can handle Brighton’s intensity and survive Everton’s fight, then we can say YES. But if there’s even a slight wobble, Manchester City will be ready. And as a City fan, I’m counting on that.
