The blues were without their head coach Thomas Tuchel due to COVID 19 on Wednesday night as they faced Al-Hilal who convincingly won Al Jazira at the second round of club world cup.
The first half started on a high as the European Champions were looking to show that they are the champions, but the Al-Hilal side were not scared to take on the defense of the champions whenever they had the chance.
It was an end to end game until Romelu Lukaku slotted one in on the 31st minute.

Majority of the first half was dominated by the European Champions, but there were still unable to break down the Al-Hilal side. Chelsea had all the corners in the first half but couldn't convert any. The goal came as a cross from Kai Havertz, strucked the body of an Al-Hilal player into the feet of the Chelsea striker who wasted no time in converting the opportunity as it presented itself.

The second half was no better than the ending period of the first since both sides were unable to score. Although Chelsea dominated the game but Chelsea's keeper(kepa) was called into action more than once in the second, but he was up to the task. The second ended goalless as chelsea was able to see off their opponent with Romelu Lukaku's goal from the first half.

Chelsea's head coach Thomas Tuchel even in his absence will be pleased with the results despite the fact that his players were not able to take their chances as it came by.
