After sacking Marco Silva, Everton has temporarily appointed Duncan Ferguson (the former Newcastle player) to take charge of the team. Everton is battling in the relegation zone, which is not good enough for the health of the club.

Everton made a statement after sacking Marco Silva and appointed Duncan Ferguson. The statement

reads: Everton football club can confirm that manager Marco Silva has left the club. Majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri, chairman Bill Kenwright and the board of directors would like to thank Marco for his service over the last 18 months and wish him well for the feature. Duncan Ferguson has taken temporary charge of the team and will manage the side for the game against Chelsea on Saturday. The club aims to confirm a new permanent coach as swiftly as possible

Everton will be playing against Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal before December 25. All these three teams are not easy to defeat, so Duncan Ferguson has to rebuild the team and restore the lagging confidence in the players to pick up some points in those games.
