As so often, my day began with the familiar ride on the bicycle, through the cool morning air and beneath a sky still in the midst of waking. Upon returning, I found myself at the home desk, where the day’s work began in quiet devotion, accompanied by the gentle murmur of the house and the soft scent of morning.
