The day started early with a bike ride, slipping in those precious cool morning kms before the heat returned to press down like a weight. By midday, it was as relentless as ever, the air thick and the sun glaring just as fierce as the days before. I kept the water flowing and the fans running. When evening finally arrived, the only sensible plan was to unwind with friends in the garden.
