RE: I'm watching the Jake Paul fight for the same reason that I think everyone else is

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

He picked the perfect opponent. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr doesn’t train and he didn’t come to fight and it was obvious. Jake Paul’s boxing skills have improved a lot though I’ll admit that but he’s not at the skill level to make the fights needed for him to be a world champion as he claims he wants to be.

Keep making women’s boxing great, keep the spectacle going, but stay far away from the guys in your weight class who are in their prime Jake…

I agree, that fight just looked ass from the opening. Chavez Jr. didn't even appear to be in good shape and was moving like he was in a pit of molasses for the first 7 rounds. When he turned it on in the last 3 he looked ok but still not great. Jake gassing after 8 is not a good look either.

I read about something the other day that some multi-millionaire that is fed up with Jake Paul has offered a $1 million bet. The guys has proposed he is allowed to pick any boxer who has less than 3 wins and he bet that this boxer would defeat Jake. Jake has not even acknowledged that the bet was made - which is smart. I think that if Jake were to face an up-and-comer who is around 200lbs that has trained his entire life, that Jake would get worked over and exposed.

Jake calling out Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, and whoever the heck else he called out at the end this one was a joke. Jake would never actually fight any of these people if they offered or if he did, the thing would be rigged.

The thing that really pisses me off about Jake is that he runs his mouth about how great he is but he hasn't really fought anyone that is CURRENTLY a good boxer. He knows how to line his own pockets though, this much is for sure.

Yeah, the name dropping at the end was pure comedy. Nobody has ever called out Gervonta Davis and Anthony Joshua in the same sentence. They’re literally 100 lbs apart !LOLZ

He does put together good cards overall as a promoter, but as a fighter he’s just an entertainer. He’ll say he wants to be a world champion but I just don’t see him being able to compete with any real contenders. As soon as he fights someone with an inside game that will step to him, he’s toast.
