False Rumours That Go Viral

Last week I did a post about the Derby county players that went on the booze and ended up in a collision resulting in the captain being out for a very long time. A few hours later I received via WhatsApp the details of the crash, the bar receipts, and a photo of an injured leg . It is madness how fast things can spread now in this modern world. A couple of days ago I received this message around 7 times in the space of 10 minutes.
Some juicy stuff here. I posted a few weeks ago that there was a rift in the Tottenham team between Kane and Vertonghen and I posted about it but it looks like it has gathered legs. Lots of people are saying it is true but I just cannot see it. Eriksen posted on Instagram after the match against Southampton when he set up a goal and look who commented.

I may be wrong but I doubt a player would comment the love heart face on his teammates post if he did of course rodger his missus. The rumour is just top perfect . It has everyone wrapped up in it even the manager. I doubt Poch is too concerned about the love life of his players. He may end up in Madrid but reports suggest our friend Jose may be waiting in the wings.

I can remember the one about Steve Walsh the New Zealand rugby referee when a Sharks rugby player had an affair with his wife. They couldn't win a match when he was reffing after that and that story was true lol. There has to be some truth to this story somewhere as something has gone wrong.
Eriksen came on as a substitute for the shock Carabao Cup defeat to Colchester last week, and missed a penalty in the shoot-out - he did however start Tottenham's 2-1 win against Southampton on Saturday.

I think there are a lot of feuds in all circles that get people talking. You will frequently hear about spats between players or celebrities and you have to wonder if it is just hype to keep them in the news. Sports can be an intense thing and people can get heated and frustrated but fabricating things that aren't there is just silly :)

Blanchy, just a quick question. Do you think Eriksen is overrated?
Ohhh dear, there were similar rumours in Leeds in the 90s and they ended up selling Cantona after it was alleged he was knocking off Lesley Ash, Lee Chapman's wife.
This sort of stuff must happen more than gets reported I guess but it seems that in Spurs case, there is a definite split and defined camps.
Shame for the fans though as Spurs ought to be contenders this year.
