Just When You Thought You Heard Everything In Football, the Paul Pogba Extortion
I turned on the Twitter machine yesterday to check out an emerging story surrounding Paul Pogba and his family. On Friday night Paul's brother Mathias went online with a statement saying he was going to reveal some stories around his brother Paul, his agent and lawyer Rafaela Pimenta and also Killian Mbappe for some reason unbeknown to us yet. He said he will reveal everything in time. The actual video he released is below here.

Shortly after this announcement Pogba's lawyers have issued a statement on behalf of Paul stating said the videos “are unfortunately no surprise” and that police are investigating an alleged €13 million extortion from an organised crime gang on Paul.
They were showing up at the training grounds and threatening him. He found out that one of this gang was his own flesh and blood Mathias who can be seeing swaning around after Paul whereever he goes.
This is all serious stuff and some allegations may be very serious indeed but I won't focus on those ones in this post as they have not been announced yet.
Rumour has it that one of the allegations that is about to come out is that Pogba contacted a member of his family to put a hoodoo on Killian Mbappe after the French defeat in the European Championships. Pogba is vehemently denying this ever happened.
But when this got out Twitter went into overdrive and it was one of the funniest evenings I have ever spent on Twitter. Here are just a few of the best ones regarding the Mbappe and Pogba story.

These had me in stitches. But there is a more serious side to the whole thing. Imagine your brother who you supported all your life team up with a bunch of organised criminals to bring you down. Having watched the Pogba documentary I do have a soft sport for Pogba but these revelations may be very damming. If there is anyone that knows about your secrets it's your family so I am dreading to think what he has on him. Faking injuries is one and other things more serious around football that I won't go into.
It would think the French are looking at this before a world cup and thinking Oh my god... not again. The French international team is always in the middle of some drama with the players whether it is Benzema's court case around the sex tape or the Raymond Domenech mutiny. There is always something. The French who are clear favourites for this world cup will want Pogba's brother to go away and fast. It will be an interesting few days ahead for French football and in no doubt will be drama before the world cup.
This whole Pogba/Mathias scandal is being perceived by different people in different ways and there can be funny and serious sides to it.
I woke up to the trend on Twitter in the early hours of this morning and some of the tweets I saw were hilarious. Haha.
If what Pogba experienced is truly the fact, it will take a toll on him. That level of betrayal is something I wouldn't wish on anyone at all. Poor Pogba. Haha
On recent form though it looks like the betrayal has been happening for years. He might soon get good with this out in the open.
Yeah. As for his chances of getting a World Cup call from France in the midst of all these, that will remain as a wild guess for us until this scandal cools off.

There are so many things going on and France won't appreciate this just when World Cup is so near, Paul Pogba won't appreciate it too.

This story is twisting and interesting. But if those that allegate Paul Pogba didn't have evidence, then they would be sued. We'll wait and see
No matter what happens, Paul will be the one coming out worse. The betrayal from family, and the implications that whatever his brother has on him will have on his career are things that he may never recover from.
I can imagine the admin at Utd thanking their starts for cutting Paul loose.
