I had a difficult day yesterday. I watched Spurs concede 5 goals in 22 minutes yesterday. So during the second half I informed the family that we were going to go for a walk in the woods and we were to leave all manner of communication behind us. My friends would text my wife to make sure I was not on a bridge somewhere so I told her to leave her phone at home as well. When we got tp the woods there were two routes, the green and the blue route. The green was only 2km so good for the 2 year old to tire him out. So we set off on the green route. We followed the route by the letter of the law with the 6 year old girl running to check the next colour on the sign posts. Around an hour in I was beginning to realise that the 2km felt more like a long 5 km and the green route signs were nowhere to be seen. So I reached for my phone to pinpoint where the hell we were only to realise that I left it at home after the dismal Spurs display. Dam you Tottenham I said to myself while we retraced our steps back the way we came with a toddler on my shoulders screaming he wanted cartoons. I ended up having to jump from a 15 foot wall out on the road and walking a mile to reach the car. I drove back for the family then, This is what supporting Spurs does to people.

I said it a few weeks ago on here. We need a formation change but the last 8 games was not the time to do it. Conte had whipped, cemented and drilled the wing back system so much into Spurs's DNA that it would take months to change the system from a 5 at the back to a 4. Stellini chose to do it this weekend against Newcastle. Romero and Dier have not played in a 4 all season. They do not play in a 4. Actually I tell a lie because Romero played in a 4 for Argentina in the world cup in the opening games and he was a disaster. In fact Romero has been a disaster all season. He always seems to be saving himself for something like an international tie. Dier just is not a Centre Half so playing in a 4 was not a good idea. Porro and Peresic are wingers who have learnt to play as wing backs. So our whole defense were going to be lambs to the slaughter right from the off.

The three in midfield was promising but Sarr looked out of his depth from the start and he was taken off after 28 minutes while Tottenham reverted back to their 5 at the back to steady the ship. Sanchez came on again. He was not booed this time and in fairness he didn't play too bad.
Loris was to blame for a couple of goals watching the ball go in the net on two occasions and I wondered if Forster would have tried get to them. Loris was taken off at half time with an injury but I think it was more of a barney he must have had at half time with a few players or to save himself from humiliation. Loris is probably done at Spurs at the end of the season as a captain and a player. Him and Kane are not leaders. Either is Sonny. Son and Kane look to be immune to criticism but they have to shoulder some responsibility as well. Kane doesn't press anymore. When he leaves at the end of the season I can see him having a difficult time with another team, I really can. I can see him having a sort of Ronaldo season at United. Goal machine but does not work as a team. I think United are mad to want him now.

Son and Kuluevski are having terrible seasons and yesterday just summed Spurs up. This result was coming. Conte was right in what he said about the players. They did not try yesterday and this team needs to be cut up and reformed. But is is a rudderless ship. No DOF , no manager. A chairman that does not communicate with the fans. Enough is enough. No Champions League next year will hopefully hit the pockets of the club so they will have to invest in the team. Don't get me wrong, there was money spent last year but they way the club plays is a far cry away from who Tottenham are. Paradici and Conte wanted the wing back system but the midfield was always lacking so we were a counter attack team. Now we are looking at Luis Enrique who only plays midfielders and Nagelsmann who operates totally different again. We don't have a plan. Just appoint a big name and buy players to suit their system. All of a sudden we have 11 players bought by 4 different managers and a disaster on our hands. The club need to play on the front foot like we did for so many years and stick with it. Win now managers like Mourinho and Conte do not play good football but they achieve results. I would prefer to lose if we gave it a go. The exit to Milan in the Champions League was embarrassing as we never looked like a threat.

It looks like Pochettino is now heading to Chelsea which will royal Spurs fans up even more. They is Tottenhams lowest moment in years. And to make matters worse we still have United and Liverpool to play next. It will be a bloodbath. But do you know what, Kane might get a record of some sort so all is good then.

I have to say I found this Spurs supporter leaving the stadium to be quite funny yesterday. This guy is not happy. Not happy at all. Listen out for the Loudspeaker at the end. It was very good timing I have to say.

So that's all from me and my ailments today. On the brightside at least Arsenal have bottled the league.

I'm guessing Stellini hadn't been sacked at the point you started this post?

Lol. Imagine being a supporter of Tottenham when the weekend started off so well with Arsenal at home to Southampton. Whoever comes in next needs to keep the 3 or 4 players he can use as his base and get rid of the rest. The players should be on 30% pay as they are too blame as they just don't care like they should. They think they all shit gold bars, but they should be ashamed of themselves. If you are a coach all you want is 11 players dedicated to the cause and now they sunk the boat as there is a long way back now.

Wishing things will turn around for the team in the coming games. I saw that even Murphy (Newcastle) can't believe what's happening.

@blanchy you are a true Spurs fan and I admire your willingness to keep believing Spurs still have potential. But my problem is this, Mourinho nothing changed, Conte came and still no trophy, do Spurs need Guardiola before they can win a trophy?

I think he is happy where he is. Given an unlimited budget goes a long way to achieving trophies.
