Special Report: From Spursy to Arsey.

Oh how I laughed and laughed and celebrated when Arsenal capitulated against Newcastle on Monday night. I was forecasting a draw or a win for Arsenal but what unfolded was every Spurs fans dream. An easy 2 - 0 for Newcastle which had @arsenal4life owner @belemo in deep despair. @ablaze and @amirtheawesome1 went heading for the hills into hiding as all Spurs need to do now is grab a point at Norwich to secure champions league football for next season. Oops one more thing. Arsenal need to score 16 goals past Everton. Now Spurs should be able to get a result to the already relegated Norwich but stranger things have happened and I'm actually shitting myself for Sunday now but I do think we have too much for them. Champions League is finger tips away. What a job Conte has done with us. We are nearly there @talesfrmthecrypt. Nearly there.

This is HUGE for Spurs for a number of reasons

  1. Financial aspect means at least 100 million is added o our coffers.
  2. Corporate finances mean we can sell more corporate tickets in our shiny new stadium. Wednesday and Saturday games are a whole lot more lucrative than Thursday - Sunday games. Important people need to be places Monday morning so Sunday games are not ideal.
  3. Players want to play in the Champions League. It is a major draw to seal the signature of the elite players. If there was a choice between Spurs , Utd and Arsenal now it will be Spurs that will sign the player. Champions League draw baby.
  4. Kane is definitely staying now. City now have Haaland, Madrid Mbappe , so unless PSG or Bayern want another Levandowski, he's staying put. Kane also knows Conte will be given a substantial war chest now which will be used properly this time. If we get rid of Los Celso for Pau Torres, take a cut price for Ndombele. Sell Carter Vickers to Celtic for 12 million. Get Winks out for 15- 20 million then all of a sudden Romero is paid for and we start with a clean slate.
  5. Conte will stay as he will be given the funds to get his own players in.

The game against Newcastle has really put Woolwich back dark ages. Arteta signed a new deal but they were toothless against Newcastle. They lacked discipline against us but the real joke is that if we played them back in February like it was planned they probably would have stuffed us because we were hopeless back then so karma really does come back to bite you when you have only one player with Covid and you call for the game to be cancelled. This was me all week by the way.

Arsenal spent 150 million last summer. Did they buy chairs? Because you can't really see it in their squad. They are still flakey. Go on a 7 game winning streak and then a 5 game losing streak.
But this really has hurt them. The atmosphere at the Spurs stadium the other night really got up them. I heard to make Spurs's tifo there had to be a sheet of paper on every seat tied up with an elastic. So there were around 20 thousand rubber bands used as weapons against one man last Thursday. Ramsdale was being hit left right and centre and if you looked beside him there were thousands of rubber bands on the ground. I thought that was funny.
So when I turned on the TV on Monday night and seen St James Park in similar jovial spirits , I just thought "Here we go". The magpies are not gonna leave their fans down on their last game of the season. And they came out of the blocks fighting. Arsenal could not handle them and Newcastle won easy in the end. They should of had more.
When Newcastle scored their second there were scenes in my house. The dog was swiftly awoken and as we danced around the living room. They bloody imploded. I knew they would. Memes and GIFs were flying. I annoyed @belemo on a number of occasions with my party GIFS.
This was the best night of the year. We were back. Spurs were back in the big time .................. well unless we don't get 1 point against Norwich.
Surely not ...........................................Surely not.

It would be the most Spursy thing to ever ever happen if we were unable to draw with one of the worst teams in the history of the premiership but I will cast the fear and anxiety aside until 90 minutes this Sunday. It is not worth even comprehending this nightmarish scenario. For this week I am just laughing at Arsenal.

insert joke about Spurs not winning a trophy since the bible was written
If Spurs manages to lose on Sunday, that will be the most Spursy thing in the club's history.

That Newcastle game was wow. Toothless is putting it mildly, it looked like prime Barca playing a team in the regulations zone of Serie C. I still stand behind what I said in my post regarding this season being a success and I stand behind Arteta. But that game had me even doubting I know football tbh. One can only hope they actually have a plan for improvement next season. But seriously, wow, it was Sunday League football on our part.

Was never in doubt and why I said 3 weeks ago they were favorite for 4th spot. Arsenal have over achieved this season and honestly don't see the hype as they don't have a proper striker. Imagine Arsenal in the Champions League as they would struggle and be knocked out early doors.

Yep you did call it and yes no Striker, it's one thing letting Aubo go, but not replacing him with a worldclass striker was madness.

It's a long loooooong looooooooooooong LOOOOOOOOOOONG shot, but man would I laugh.

Newcastle played us off the park the last night and credit is deserved for them, but I was so pissed off that our lads couldn't raise their game and react to it. No guts, just rolled over again. Onr step forward, two steps back yet again. It could have easily been 4 or 5 too. Newcastle will be top four contenders soon enough if they open up the chequebook.

Even if ye get beaten by Norwich, I reckon Arsenal will still find a way to fuck it up and not get the win against Everton.

(Edited)

Arteta mixed up this two games. there was no reason to go out and chase the game against Tott because you always struggle with teams that defend and don't let you counter attack.

Then he did not go for high pressure against New.

Overall it is Arteta (+ club) fault for not getting to the 4th place when there was an opportunity. But again, not a lot of Arsenal fans expected it this year. Kids also just burned out.

Imagine if all of this was a setup for the Arsenal documentary and you lose and we win 😂

But i think you don't need to worry, from what i seen the whole back line of Arsenal was not on the training ground today, so they could be a disaster against Everton.

edit:
joke about the setup. there is to much last game decisions this year that it feels unreal.

I agree with all of the above but the future is promising with the younger players. He got the dead wood out the door. Now he can concentrate on the new blood

Trying to remain calm until we’ve actually got there!

Would be nice to get an early goal or 2 against Norwich. Their defence is weak and sounds like they’ve had some problems with the crowd in recent home games so we need to start fast and kill any hope they have of ending on a high.

They might be relegated but they are still playing to avoid the wooden spoon - success is all relative I guess. They need 3 points for that so hopefully they’ll come out and play which would suit us on the break!

It would be the most Spursy thing to do but Conte is the least Spursy manager we’ve had for a long time. You can bet any sniff of complacency is being stamped out!
