I woke up to a canvas bare,
A dollar dream, floating in the air.
Slide guitar hums, a soulful prayer,
They said, "Paint your truth, if you dare."

Blurt.media calling my name,
A blogging gig, a curious game.
Brush and keyboard, ain't it strange?
Life gets colorful, yet rearranged.

I'm blurtin' the blues, for a dime or two,
Painting my world in a hazy hue.
Words and colors, tangled and true,
Getting paid to chase a muse.

The slide guitar moans, a wandering sound,
Each stroke of paint feels profound.
My words, they wander, loose and unbound,
Blurt's my stage, where dreams are found.

I blog my heart, I paint my soul,
Filling the void, patching the hole.
Pixels and pigments, they take their toll,
But they pay me enough to keep me whole.
