Momentum in Muddy Boots
Today wasn’t a “strap-on-the-shoes-and-hit-the-trail” kind of day. But fitness isn’t just about the miles walked, it’s about movement, period. And boy, did I move.
Between trimming the garden, dragging out bags of yard waste, and running around town on errands, I clocked in over 7.5K steps. Not bad for a so-called “rest” day. It’s the kind of day where your muscles feel it even if your Fitbit doesn’t sing a song.
Also, let’s not forget: I had some “step surplus” banked from yesterday. That’s the beauty of building consistency, your momentum starts to carry you even when the day throws a wrench in your regular routine. Still a win, still moving forward. Sometimes, forward smells like mulch and errands.
