That's A Legend : A Sports Freewrite.

Looking at his emerald eyes, I knew he is the one they've been talking about, from his height to stature, standing full upright, eyes wide open like an eagle and a half-smile on his face. That's a legend, I said to myself.

Being in the same locker room with him sent some chill down my spine, for all I wanted was to help as a locker room boy, but now, I guess I've got more than what I wanted. An evening with the star. My stay there got his attention too, he called me. Voice thick like that of God calling Moses on Mount Sinai. I tried to feign ignorance at first, maybe he will call again, but no. My eagerness to meet him for year betrayed me and here I am turning at the first call.

I couldn't second guess how he knew my name, this is not the time to question the intelligence of my idol, he looked deep into my eyes and said the best thing to ever happen to me. "You'll be great". I burst into tears. My jersey carried my name, Pele.
