Bozz Family Fantasy Football Week 12 Recap: It's a game of inches, not yards
It's amazing the things you can learn when you start clicking around different places on the Internet. I discovered some new sections of the Yahoo fantasy football portal this weekend that I never knew existed before. I'll be honest, I am a bit on the fence about them at this point in time.
Let me explain...
It's not uncommon for me to go into the portal the day I write these posts and grab a screenshot of the final score so I can share it with you. Today though, I got a lot more than I bargained for. I was a little surprised when I found myself in a different section than I usually visit and I found this at the top of my screen:
I've been doing these recap posts for at least two years now and I do my best to put a good deal of time and effort into them. As I said, I was a bit surprised to find a full write-up already completed and sitting in front of me. I knew it had to be AI and sure enough, my eyes eventually landed on the little green banner that says "powered by CHATGPT AI".
I think we can all agree this is something that we are only going to see more and more of.
I'm going to share the write up here as an image (not as text) to show you what they came up with.
Long story short, I had to score 12 points on Monday night to take the victory over my niece and I ultimately fell short.
As you can see, it's a pretty good write up actually. I honestly feel like the AI did a better job than I usually do with my weekly write up. This is honestly the first time I have ever felt like AI can do something better than me. I know instances like this are only going to become more common.
As you can see, my quarter back didn't have that great of a game. Despite their horrible performance against Green Bay, if I had played Goff I actually would have won this week. That's hard to believe quite honestly. You will see what I mean when I share the bench players though.
Moore was the lone player that I needed to score 12 to 13 points on Monday night. If he had done just a little bit more, I would have been sitting pretty this week. I'm actually quite happy with most of my players numbers this week.
Jackson of course is one of the let downs as well as Warren at running back. 4.2 points is just unacceptable. If he had gotten even 8 or 9 I would have had the victory. I've got a pretty big bye week coming for some of my players next week, so I am going to have to make some quick adjustments.
You can also see that my niece has Prescott on her team who scored 32 points. It's hard to compete with that when a player has an amazing game like that.
As I said, Goff would have pushed me over the top had I taken a chance on him. Everything else would have been a sure loss.
The good news is, @mrsbozz had a big win this past weekend over one of our other nieces. She now moves to 6-6 on the season and I couldn't be more proud of her. I hope she can continue to snag some wins as we head towards the play offs.
