Bozz Family Fantasy Football Week 15: Bye Week

Fantasy Football (1).png

This is going to be a relatively short post this week. My wife and I both had byes during the first round of the playoffs. Where she is in the championship bracket, I find myself at the top of the consolation bracket. I just missed getting into the "real" playoffs by one win. It really makes you want to go back and analyze every little mistake you made through the season...

I'm not even going to bother to give you a full score breakdown from this week. What I will do is give you an overview of what the playoff landscape looks like and how things are going to go from here on out.

I will say that with 119.78 total points last week, my team did quite good. It will be just my luck that they will do well the week I don't need them to and then this week when I do need them to do well, they will probably suck!

Even Brady in his pitiful performance against whoever it was they lost to this week scored me some decent points. I really hope he thinks long and hard about retiring again after this season. One thing I do know, he will not be on my roster next year!

It seems like out of nowhere CEO catapulted into the top six spots. That would be my sister in law and this week her and @mrsbozz go head to head to determine who will be in the championship game. Meanwhile, my wife's youngest brother and our oldest niece will be battling it out to see who will be challenging either my wife or her sister in law in the championship game.

My wife has been in this position before and I have to admit, she is not feeling too confident. She has had at least one (maybe two) years where she made it to the championship game only to fall short. I'd love to see her win this year, but I totally understand her tempering her expectations.

I have to admit, some of the scores the other teams put up last week have me a little bit hopeful. Could it be that these teams are a bit beaten up by the end of the season? That being said, I think CEO is going to be a tough matchup for her. I will do my best to help her out any way I can.

That being said, I have my own contest to be focused on.

I will be going against my middle niece who is in the 11th place position. Whoever wins that game will be facing off against either my wife's oldest brother or her youngest sister in law for the champion of the consolation bracket. I honestly don't know as though anyone cares about the consolation bracket, but I am still going to do what I can to come away with the win.

I know last week I quoted that famous line from Talladega Nights, but I still have a little bit of pride left!

There are so many teams in the race for the playoffs that I honestly don't know how things are going to play out. It is a crapshoot at this point and I hope we are on the winning side of it. I'd love for my wife to come away champion finally after close to a decade doing this!
