Bozzlife: It's that time of year!

Well, incase you didn't figure it out from my clever picture above, it is college bowl season. This is one of my favorite times of year. I can often be found on the couch over the holidays watching two teams I never would normally and cheering for the underdog to lay the smack down on a power conference team.

Unless my Michigan State Spartans are playing, in that case I always cheer for them.

Sadly, that isn't the case this year.

If you count the championship game, there are a whopping thirty bowl games this year.

Five of those games feature Big 10 conference teams and not a single one of them has MSU playing. I will admit they were horrible this year and they clearly did not deserve to get into a bowl game. If they (or Michigan) had, it would have been blatantly obvious that the sole focus of the NCAA is how much money they can rake in.

At this point in December, ten of the bowl games have been played. Three of them have been cancelled including the Music City Bowl that pitted #15 Iowa against unranked Missouri.

Browsing the scores, it looks like the most exciting game played was the "Cure" bowl with Liberty beating #12 Coastal Carolina in overtime by a field goal.

Most other games were blowouts with the exception of the Camellia Bowl where Buffalo beat Marshall by a touchdown.

It isn't until tomorrow and Wednesday that things really kick into gear with some of the best matchups of the season happening between highly ranked teams.

The Cheez-It Bowl might be a good one to check out.

I am also going to be keeping a close eye on the Cotton Bowl. That looks like it could be an epic matchup.

That is probably the most exciting action we will see until New Years Day. Despite the semi-final games that are taking place that day, my most hopeful matchup is the Citrus Bowl Auburn/Northwestern game. I think that one has the potential to be really great as well as the Peach Bowl Georgia/Cincinnati.

Those are my guesses on which games are going to be the most compelling over the next couple of days. Check back later this week to see if I was on point!

Sports has just been a mess this year. I’m not a huge fan, but I like watching games with a beer. I would normally follow some scores and stats to keep up on conversations at work, but since we are all working from home I’m not following anything this year.

I didn't really grow up watching sports. It is just in the past ten years or so that I have really started to get into them as much as I am.

I love tailgating, but I could care less for the game lol. I like watching games with friend too, but with covid all that’s out the window.

Yeah, I have only ever been to a tailgate once, but I do enjoy watching games with friends!

MSU tailgates are the best! We have friends that have a really good spot (they donate a lot!). Its like 10-15 families that line up in a row and each week has a theme. One of the families even brings a DJ set up. Everything is shared and theres plenty of good beer and shots that get passed out to people just walking by.
