Bozzlife: Weekly College Hoops Wrapup

It was actually a relatively "weak" week of college basketball.

I spent more time watching my nieces play via the Internet than I did actually watching any specific game.

Monday night there wasn't much on because of the college football championship.

It looks like UConn and DePaul played what might have been a make up game. The #25 Huskies came out on top, so nothing really special there.

Tuesday saw three games played and three games postponed. Two big upsets which is pretty cool. #19 Duke got taken out by #20 Virginia Tech. The Blue Devils just can't seem to catch a break this season and I love it. Unranked Oklahoma State took down #6 Kansas which was probably a shocker to a lot of people.

That isn't to say the Cowboys haven't been playing well this season. If I remember correctly, I don't think this is the first time I have mentioned them in a favorable light, so I wouldn't be shocked to see them break into the top #25 at some point.

The other game on Tuesday was between #9 Wisconsin and #7 Michigan. Michigan is 11-0 after their win and it has me genuinely scared. Since I cheer for Michigan State, it doesn't make me very happy when that other team from Michigan does well. Sadly, I think it is going to continue to be a tough year for the Spartans with some more heartbreaking losses on tap until they get things sorted out.

My new secondary team Tennessee had two games postponed on Tuesday. Not quite sure how that works :)

Wednesday was probably the fullest day with two games postponed and four games played. Of those four games, the most notable performance was #15 Texas Tech putting the hurt on #4 Texas. Yes, it was only a two point win, but an upset is an upset none the less.

Thursday had three games postponed including my Michigan State Spartans. I was actually a little relieved because it was supposed to be against #5 Iowa. Since MSU isn't even ranked anymore, I don't know if my heart could have taken another loss so soon.

Gonzaga easily handled Pepperdine in a 25 point win.

Tonight has two postponed games and one game actually being played between Wisconsin and Rutgers. I might check out a little bit of it if I happen to have the TV on.

Saturday will be the big day of watching college basketball so claim your spot on the couch and settle in for some (hopefully) great games.

Nothing worse than when things get postponed and you had planned on watching them.
