Bye Bye Brady

Holy cow, it's about time! With the Super Bowl right around the corner, Tom Brady has announced that his is going to retire (again) from the NFL. I think it is a smart move for the all star quarter back and something that he should have done at the beginning of this past season or at the very least halfway through it.

I think the results of my fantasy team would have been much better had that happened. Like I said, I think it was a smart move. He isn't a young kid anymore and with all of the personal stuff he had surrounding him off the field this year, it might be good to take a step back.

It's not like he hasn't accomplished just about everything you can imagine up to this point. As much as I really don't care for Brady, you have to admit he was a good player. The same is true with Jordan. I don't really care for his personality, but he was a great basketball player.

It sounds like Brady has a deal to do something with Fox Sports in the future. If he is going to be a commentator hopefully he gets less flack and does a better job than Tony Romo has been doing lately! It seems like everyone is upset with him these days.

I honestly wouldn't know. I watch most sporting events with the sound way way down. Either because it is the middle of the day on Saturday or Sunday and I am trying to take a nap or simply because I can't stand listening to most commentators.

Let's not forget the real news of the week though, we are now five days away from Super Bowl Sunday. No doubt countless individuals have already placed their pizza, wing, and sub sandwich orders from their favorite spot. Bars and restaurants are gearing up for the big day, liquor stores are stocking the shelves, and small town bookies are raking in the cash from their boards.

Gronk is still finding a way to stay relevant through his partnership with Fan Duel and the kick of destiny fiasco they have lined up. Rhianna is set to divide the country as the boomers deem her halftime show obscene, fans think it is the greatest thing in the world, and everyone else just wondering what happened to Janet Jackson.

I'm not going to lie, this is how my Super Bowl Sunday usually goes... @mrsbozz and I eat dinner just like we normally would on any other Sunday. Nothing special, no take out, nothing like that. A little bit through the first half my wife heads to bed to read. I stay up and watch the Halftime show, then I head to bed myself.

Unlike many people in the US, we don't get the Monday after the Super Bowl off, so we have to head back to work. That means a very early 4 AM alarm.

Although it isn't a huge ordeal in our house, I'll still be watching. Even though the sound might be off on the TV. At least until the commercials come on! I'll be cheering for The Eagles. I think they have the most deserving season this year. It would be nice to see them win it all.

Come Monday, I'll be checking the score to see who won, checking with @summertooth to see if any of my squares on his board won me some Hive, and looking forward to next year when the Detroit Lions finally make their way to the Super Bowl.

Bet on it!
