Can you do the splits?

I know everyone is more concerned about basketball right now, but I am going to put off writing my post about that until tomorrow. The men's final is tonight and besides the fact that I don't really care about either of the teams, there is no way I am staying up to watch it since it doesn't even start until 9:20 PM.

For @mrsbozz and I, it was a weekend full of softball. Which was kind of good, because we needed something to take out minds off the fact that our dog was no longer with us. It really didn't help honestly. We tried though.

Our niece that plays High School softball had a game with her team on Saturday. It wasn't their best showing as they got beat 4 to 14. My niece didn't have a bad game personally, but she got left on base several times and the pitching was struggling quite a bit. I haven't talked to her about the game. When the outcome is this onesided, it is usually better just to let her be.

Her older sister played four games this weekend. On Saturday, Tiffin University had a double header against Ohio Dominican University. They lost the first game 0 to 1, but then in the second game they came back to win a game in extra innings 6 to 5.

The game actually went into 11 innings before Tiffin finally snagged the victory. Usually a softball game last seven innings. It was a long outing for the Dragons.

On Sunday @mrsbozz and I were watching the NCAA Women's Basketball Championship, so I grabbed my portable projector from the basement and I projected the softball game on the wall so we could still watch the basketball game on TV.

It worked out really well!

Tiffin started the day with a 5 to 0 win over Ashland University. Then, in their second game, they ended up falling short 6 to 7 in extra innings. It was a tough loss for the Dragons and when I was talking to my niece later that night, she said they shouldn't have lost that game.

It's part of the process though and it's not about the loss as much as it is about learning from it and moving on. I guess anyway. I'm honestly the last person to be giving advice!

In addition to all of that, we also watched a fair bit of SEC Softball this weekend. Texas had a huge win over Oklahoma handing them their first home loss in 40 games. Talk about record breaking! It was an impressive showing from the Longhorns.

I'll be back tomorrow with a full recap of the NCAA action from the weekend. Then I need to figure out what to post about in place of basketball now that it's (almost) all over!
