Catching up with the Tigers

You like that title? I thought it was pretty clever myself. I have always been a fan of word play like that. I'm also a fan of baseball and I have done a pretty good job of neglecting covering it this past week.

After the big weekend down in Detroit watching volleyball, and waiting for my nieces to actually have some softball games again, baseball fell of my radar a little bit.

I am going to give you a quick recap of the Tigers action today.

Last Friday the 28th, they were supposed to have a game against the Orioles, but that game got postponed due to the weather.

Luckily the weather was a bit kinder on Saturday and the game was able to be played. The Tigers beat the Orioles, seven to four in nine innings. Baltimore is the second best team in the AL East, so any wins we can get against teams of that caliber is a good thing.

Sadly, on Sunday the Tigers dropped the game losing 3 to 5.

I guess you can't win them all right?

Monday gave the Tigers an off day, only for them to be back in action again on Tuesday starting a series against the Mets.

That game was postponed however and now they have a game today at 1:40 in Detroit. Looking at the weather outside my office, I am not sure that game is going to happen either.

They aren't calling for rain, but it is pretty cold and nasty out there. The northern part of our state just got two feet of snow dumped on them, so Spring is taking its time getting here!

It actually looks like the Tigers have a double header today if they are able to play with another game happening at 6:40. Probably the earlier game is the make up from yesterday.

As for me, I will be watching my nieces university team play their first play off game today.

I wish them all the luck in the world!

Ballparks absolutely intrigue me. The grass looks stunning too. Bucketlist for me is to watch the Orioles at Camden Yards, and the Steelers at PNC Park

That sounds like a great bucket list and totally do-able. I have always thought the Pirates park looks really cool. I've only ever been To Comerica down in Detroit. I went to the old Tigers stadium when I was very little. We have a minor league team in the town where I grew up and their park is beautiful though a bit smaller!
