Crisis Averted

In case you haven't heard, the tiff between YouTube TV and Disney is over, which means that ESPN and its assorted channels are now once again available as part of your subscription. At least for the next two years. It's a bit crazy just how much negotiation goes on behind the scenes with these sorts of things.
I'll be the first to admit that when I switched to YouTube TV, I thought all the headaches were going to be behind me when it comes to television subscriptions and all of that. Unfortunately, it turns out it's just different headaches, not zero headaches.
Whatever....
Anyway, I got to watch more college football this past weekend than I have in the last couple of weeks. I expect now that most of our traveling is done until after the holidays, I am probably going to have a lot more time on my hands during the weekend. Sort of anyway. I think this coming weekend we have a basketball/soccer marathon down south to watch my niece and nephew play.
Clemson starting things off with a bang this past weekend upsetting number 20 Louisville 20 to 19 in a Friday night game. Things continued to be exciting on Saturday as Navy upset number 24 South Florida 41 to 38. Arizona also had a big upset taking down number 25 Cincinnati 30 to 24.
Probably the most exciting game of the weekend for me was the South Caronlia vs. number 3 Texas A&M game. SC dominated most of the game and the Aggies were on their heels until late in the game when they started to get going and finally came from behind for the come back win 31 to 30. It was a great game. Lot's of fun to watch.
Northwestern almost had their own big win, but unfortunately, number 18 Michigan was able to edge past them for the 24 to 22 win.
Besides the exciting win for Texas A&M, the other awesome game of the weekend would have to go to number 11 Oklahoma upsetting number 4 Alabama 23 to 21 at Alabama. Talk about amazing. What a great way to spend a Saturday!
Number 17 USC had a close game against number 21 Iowa, but the Trojans came out on top 26 to 21.
Unfortunately, my Michigan State Spartans looked like trash losing to Penn State 28 to 10. I didn't even bother watching most of the game because it was so horrible. They just looked like a bunch of morons running around the field. There is every little chance they are going to win a single regular season game this year. I think people are already calling for the new head coach to be fired.
In fact, I think MSU might have some stuff working behind the scenes to make that happen with minimal impact to the university. We will see.
It will be interesting to see how things shake up after the poll and rankings are released later today.
