Keep on Rolling!

I really love this photo I took at one of my nieces games because it actually has both of my nieces in it. You can't see either of their faces, but honestly, they probably prefer it that way. The one in the foreground is heading from Ohio to Indiana this weekend to play four or five softball games with her university team.

The one on the court is getting ready for their next step in the playoffs tomorrow night. I don't have a scouting report on the other team, but I hopefully it will be an easy win for the Shamrocks.

My wife and I were watching a bit of the Iowa/Indiana women's game last night. Caitlin Clark seemed to be a bit out of sync, but they were playing an Indiana team that is really good. Iowa ended up losing the game, but I am sure they will bounce back. They have a good deal of talent on the team.

There were some men's games this week surprise surprise.

Monday saw #2 Houston take on #6 Iowa State. Houston won that game.

Tuesday gave us six games from the top 25. In a big night for the Bluejays, #15 Creighton upset #1 UConn 85 to 66. That's a big shakeup in the Big East and the nation as well. Meanwhile, #25 BYU took down #11 Baylor 78 to 71.

#23 Texas Tech had a close game against TCU, but edged them out 82 to 81. Utah State didn't want to be left out either as they upset #19 San Diego State 68 to 63.

I should also mention that this week Michigan State lost a home game to Iowa which is just horrible. I don't know if they are going to make it to the tournament at this point. I don't have a lot of hope which will be really sad to lose that streak they have going.

I keep hoping they can turn things around, then I keep getting let down, so I don't even know at this point.

Wednesday gave us seven games in the top 25. Penn State had a much needed win as the squeaked past #12 Illinois 90 to 89. #24 Florida took #13 Alabama to overtime, but fell just short 98 to 93. George Mason continued their historic season with an upset win over #16 Dayton.

#17 Kentucky also had a rough night falling to LSU 75 to 74. Finally, on Wednesday night New Mexico beat #22 Colorado State 68 to 66. Lot's of close games so far this week! There were some not close games either. Like #7 Marquette beating DePaul 105 to 71.

Last night there were only two games on in the top 25 and the big story of the night was #21 Washington State taking down #4 Arizona 77 to 74. That's a lot of shake ups so far in the top 25 this week.

I am sure we will see more come the weekend too.

No games tonight, but 19 games on Saturday and three games on Sunday.

Don't sleep on Wake Forest over Duke. Also the Houston/Baylor game could be good. Finally, you might want to keep an eye on Kentucky/Alabama, and North Carolina/Virginia I will likely be putting money on those games.
