Mother Nature Strikes Again
Well, here I thought we were past that time of year that games were going to get postponed due to the weather. I guess that stretch of 80 degree weather had me fooled. After 40+ years in the great state of Michigan, you would think I should know better by now... Apparently not.
Even down in Ohio the weather is throwing monkey wrenches in the regularly scheduled games.
Cleveland was supposed to come to Detroit and play the Tigers last night. That game was postponed due to the weather. I can't imagine it would have been much better if the game had been scheduled as an away contest for the Tigers. That wind whips right across Lake Erie and things get pretty cold in Cleveland.

Anyway, the Tigers game was postponed. Honestly, with the temps being right around freezing today, I don't expect they are going to play the game tonight either. In fact, we have a pretty deep stretch of cold weather ahead of us. It could take a road trip for the Tigers to get any baseball in.
It looks like the head to Baltimore on Friday, but it could be just as cold there by then as it is here now.
As I said, Ohio is pretty cold as well and my nieces game last night got pushed until today I think. Again, it might be iffy if they are even going to play today.
My other niece has a college game against a team right down the road from us this weekend. They were supposed to play at Northwood University on Saturday, but it looks like that game has been pushed up to Friday now. Apparently they are calling for some rain on Saturday.
Smart choice, but I honestly haven't looked at the weather for Friday, so I don't even know what to expect. I have a feeling we will be watching the games in our winter coats!
I shouldn't really complain though. Come this summer when we are at an all day tournament in 90 degree heat we will probably be wishing we had a day like this to watch some softball!
Leave it to Mother Nature to keep us on our toes right?

So normally games are not postponed at this time of year.
To a degree, but usually by this time of the year or a little later we are finished with all of the shenanigans by the weather and they can just play.
