NFL and Bozz Family Fantasy Football Week 7: All in one!

Given my absence from the blockchain on Monday, I am a bit behind with my sports posts for the week. Rather than continuing to push things out, I am going to combine my NFL post and my fantasy post all together into one post.

Probably the smarter thing to do given the fact that the Lions didn't play this past weekend. That alone gives me much less to rant about than I would otherwise!

Although I didn't watch much college football this past weekend, I did get a chance to watch some professional football from a small bar in Chippewa Falls, WI. If you are a beer lover, you might recognize the significance of that town. Keep an eye on my main account @bozz for more information on that.

I know there were some Bears fans that were pretty sad this past week when Washington took them down 12 to 7. The Patroits are continuing to look pretty decent this year with a new quarterback and they easily handled the Browns 38 to 15. Even the Packers fell to the New York Jets. For real?

Like I said last year, Rogers and Mahomes need to spend a little more time practicing and less time hanging out with Jake from State Farm. Especially given the fact that Kansas City lost to Buffalo this past weekend. Make no mistake, Buffalo is a good team. They have been building towards a championship season for a couple of years now.

Tampa Bay sucked lemons this past weekend, but I will get to that a little more when I cover my fantasy matchup. There were quite a few low scores this past weekend which doesn't surprise me given how my fantasy team did.

Probably the most important thing to note is the fact that Dallas finally lost their first game with replacement quarterback Cooper Rush.

The good news is, after this last weekend the Lions are still not the worst team in the league. That would actually go to the Carolina Panthers who have one more loss than the Lions due to Detroit being on Bye week.

In an embarrassing turn of events, I lost to my sister in law this past weekend in our fantasy competition. The good news is, @mrsbozz came out victorious. The bad news... she faces our oldest niece this next week and she has a killer team.

If you have been following along, you know there has been some debate about whether or not my niece has been getting help managing her team. Well it turns out, due to some mistakes on my behalf, she was able to hand select her players during the draft when it should have just been an automated process.

This basically means she was able to cherry pick the good players and leave the rest of us with the group. I take full responsibility for the oversight and my hats off to her for noticing the loophole and taking advantage of it!

Wish the rest of us luck!

This is actually the first I have looked at my results from last week beyond the total score. I just saw that 77.72 when I logged in and logged right off knowing I had zero chance of winning. The sad thing is, my sister in law only put up 83 points. This weekend should have been a sure thing.

Lady luck must have been favoring her.

Brady basically sucks. I can't think of a better way to say it. He has been the biggest disappointment this season. I knew he wasn't going to be great, but I at least expected him to be consistent. That hasn't been the case.

13 points is a joke. He should just retire and spare us all. He claims he is going to "fix this", but I have my doubts.

As I mentioned above, there were some really low scoring games this past weekend and that is definitely reflected in my players scores.

Williams with less than 2 points. Pitiful. London and Jones with less than 5. Shameful. The sad thing is, once again my bench probably wouldn't have helped me too much.

As you can see, Mariota probably would have given me the win if I had played him versus Brady, but how do you even do that when Brady is healthy? It's like sacrilege. The rest of my players were irrelevant. I've been doing pretty well this season, so I am taking this loss a little harder than previous ones. I am hoping I can turn things around and bounce back this next weekend.

The only question will be, which quarterback to I start?
