RE: Surprise turnout for DUMBO bowling and things kind of heat up at the lanes

Honestly, it could have been something totally unrelated as well. I mean clearly there is some animosity between the two like you said, but the one guy could have just had a crap day and this was his way to vent. It's not that often that we actually express our frustration at the time it happens. I usually builds up over time from all the little things. It doesn't make it right though. Sounds like you handled it pretty well considering.

I don't like intervening when adults get all fired up and I think physical fights, especially as an adult, is one of the stupidest situations a person can find themselves in because no matter what happens, everyone is going to get hurt. Thankfully it cooled down and I am going to pull a sneaky and force those two onto the same team this next week. Perhaps a little "team-building" is necessary to rectify things.

Good luck with that! I totally understand what you are saying about adults fighting. Unfortunately, it seems to be happening more and more these days. It's like all bets are off anymore.

There was one instance where one of our members said something racist at a bar one night. I wasn't even there but it was brought up in private during the sign up at the bowling league by another member. My response was "why are you telling me this? It doesn't have anything to do with me. What do you want me to do? reprimand him for something that doesn't concern me in the slightest?"

some people just aren't very good at being adults IMO.

Yeah, for sure. They don't want the responsibility. My wife deals with that at work all the time.
