Sobota w Lille zaczęła się od przygody na podziemnym parkingu. Po kilku minutach poszukiwania miejsca parkingowego w końcu udało mi się zaparkować, kiedy wysiadałem z samochodu obok zatrzymało się inne auto. Młoda kobieta za kierownicą coś do mnie mówiła po francusku, poprosiłem córkę o tłumaczenie. Okazało się, że prosi mnie, żebym zaparkował jej samochód. Z racji tego, że za nią robił się już długi korek, to zdecydowałem się spełnić jej prośbę. W samochodzie była jeszcze jedna kobieta w hidżabie, która wysiadła kiedy ja wsiadałem do samochodu. W tamtym momencie o tym nie myślałem, ale później pewne myśli zaczęły krążyć po mojej głowie, a wszystko zaczęło się od słów córki, która powiedziała, że przez chwilę bała się o mnie. Wtedy sobie pomyślałem, a jak to było auto pułapka, pal licho ten parking i budynek centrum handlowego, ale na kierownicy zostały moje odciski palców... Na szczęście nic się nie wydarzyło, a samochód później zniknął :)

[ENG] Saturday in Lille began with an adventure in an underground parking lot. After a few minutes of searching for a parking space, I finally managed to park, when I got out of the car another car stopped next to me. The young woman behind the wheel said something to me in French, I asked my daughter to translate. It turned out that she was asking me to park her car. Due to the fact that there was already a long traffic jam behind her, I decided to fulfil her request. There was another woman in a hijab in the car, who got out while I was getting into the car. At that moment I didn't think about it, but later some thoughts began to circulate in my head, and it all started with the words of my daughter, who said that for a moment she was afraid for me. Then I thought to myself, and how it was an auto trap, hell that parking lot and the mall building, but my fingerprints were left on the steering wheel.... Fortunately, nothing happened, and the car later disappeared :)

Poszliśmy do miasta zostawiając potencjalne niebezpieczeństwo za sobą. Kilka miesięcy temu opisywałem historię pewnej kamienicy w Lille - "domu mumii", czyli miejsca, w którym przez 13 lat przeleżały zwłoki właściciela zanim zostały przypadkowo odkryte przez służby miejskie. Wielokrotnie obiecywałem sobie, że przy okazji wizyty w Lille wybiorę się zobaczyć na własne oczy. Ostatnim razem przechodziłem kilka metrów od niego, a dziś w końcu trochę przypadkowo trafiłem pod ten dom.

[ENG] We went into the city leaving potential danger behind. A few months ago, I described the story of a certain building in Lille - the "mummy's house," that is, the place where the owner's corpse lay for 13 years before it was accidentally discovered by city services. I have repeatedly promised myself that on the occasion of a visit to Lille, I would go to see for myself. Last time I walked a few meters away from it, and today I ended up somewhat by accident in front of the house.

Zupełny przypadek sprawił, że tuż obok znajduje się pizzeria Papa Raffaele, która została wyróżniona przez autorów strony 50 TOP Pizza Europa, co prawda ta pizzeria nie znalazła się w TOP 50 na kontynencie, ale została wymieniona wśród najlepszych pizzerii we Francji. Miałem okazję spróbować wcześniej pizzy z pizzerii, która znalazła się na 12 miejscu w tym zestawieniu i stwierdzam, że szanowne jury pomyliło się. Pizza z Papa Raffaele była jedną z najlepszych jakie jadłem, natomiast ta z "La Pizza è Bella Gourmet" w Brukseli była przeciętna. No, ale wszystko jest kwestią gustu i kubków smakowych.

[ENG] By complete coincidence, there is a Papa Raffaele pizzeria right next door, which was highlighted by the authors of the website 50 TOP Pizza Europe, admittedly this pizzeria was not in the TOP 50 on the continent, but it was listed among the best pizzerias in France. I had the opportunity to taste the pizza from the pizzeria that was ranked 12th in this list, and I concluded that the esteemed jury got it wrong. The pizza from Papa Raffaele was one of the best I've eaten, while the one from "La Pizza è Bella Gourmet" in Brussels was average. Well, but everything is a matter of taste and taste buds.

Tak smaczną pizze trzeba było rozchodzić. Tym razem skierowaliśmy nasze kroki w nieodwiedzaną wcześniej część starówki z dala od Grand Place. Miejsce okazało się równie ciekawe, wszędzie pełno ludzi.

[ENG] Such tasty pizzas had to be distributed. This time we directed our steps to a previously unvisited part of the old town away from the Grand Place. The place turned out to be just as interesting, with people everywhere.

Spacerując wąskimi uliczkami dostrzegłem budynek kościoła. Według Googla to jest "Église catholique Sainte-Marie-Madeleine", ale na miejscu okazało się, że Google ma nieaktualne dane, bo w tym miejscu znajduje się galeria sztuki nowoczesnej. Elementy sakralne zostały usunięte, ale pozostało wiele elementów dekoracyjnych z czasów kiedy ten budynek był kościołem. Ciekawe miejsce, warte odwiedzenia.

[ENG] Walking through the narrow streets, I spotted a church building. According to Google, it's "Église catholique Sainte-Marie-Madeleine," but on the spot, it turned out that Google has outdated data because there is a modern art gallery on the site. The religious elements have been removed, but many decorative elements from when this building was a church remain. An interesting place, worth a visit.

Reszta miasta była już mniej szokująca. Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-la-Treille może szokować fasadą zewnętrzną, ale wewnątrz już wszystko jest w tradycyjnym stylu.

[ENG] The rest of the city was already less shocking. The Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-la-Treille may shock with its exterior facade, but inside, everything is already in the traditional style.
