Przedświąteczna krzątanina trwa, o ile tylko czas pozwala, bo przez nocne zmiany to niewiele zostaje czasu, żebym mógł pomóc żonie w przygotowaniach do świąt. Wczoraj żona stwierdziła, że musi, chociaż na chwilę odkleić się od stolnicy z pierogami i zaproponowała, żebyśmy pojechali przewietrzyć się i pobiegać. Spokojne tempo biegu, zdecydowanie wolniej niż ostatnio biegałem, na taki wynik złożyło się kilka czynników: zmęczenie organizmu po nocnej zmianie i silny przeciwny wiatr. Biegłem po pętli wokół jednego z kwartałów na terenie bazy, w związku z tym przez połowę dystansu walczyłem z przeciwnym wiatrem, a na drugiej połowie korzystałem na wierze w plecy.

[ENG] The pre-Christmas bustle lasts as long as time allows, because due to night shifts, there is little time left for me to help my wife prepare for the holidays. Yesterday, my wife said that she needed to get away from the dumpling table, at least for a moment, and suggested that we go for some fresh air and a run. The pace of the run was relaxed, much slower than I had been running recently - this result was due to several factors: body fatigue after the night shift and a strong contrary wind. I was running a loop around one of the quarters at the base, so I was fighting against a headwind for half the distance and having faith in my back for the other half.

Jak na początek astronomicznej zimy to pogoda jest zdecydowanie wczesnojesienna, w ciągu dnia temperatura oscylowała w okolicach 13 ^oC, gdyby tylko tak mocno nie wiało, to byłoby całkiem przyjemnie. W miejscowości Oudenaarde w środkowej Belgii silny wiatr przewrócił ponad 20. metrową choinkę na jarmarku świątecznym, w efekcie śmierć poniosła starsza kobieta, na którą przewróciło się drzewo.
