Kolejna nocka w pracy, ale tym razem odpuściłem trening na siłowni. Od czasu do czasu trzeba wsłuchać się we własny organizm i dać mu wolne, kiedy tego potrzebuje. Zamiast tego wyszedłem po północy na krótki spacer po bazie pogrążonej w śnie. Było kilka okien, w których zawsze paliło się światło, w innych zaś przebijał się poblask telewizyjnych ekranów. To znaczy, że nie wszyscy chodzą spać z kurami – jest też wiele sów.

[ENG] Another night shift at work, but this time I skipped my gym workout. From time to time, you have to listen to your own body and give it a break when it needs one. Instead, I went for a short walk after midnight around the base, which was deep in sleep. There were a few windows where the lights were always on, while in others, the glow of television screens shone through. It means not everyone is an early bird – there are many night owls, too.

Po odespaniu nocki wyszedłem potruchtać. Deficyt snu dał o sobie znać, bo już na starcie czułem się zmęczony, a później przez cały czas biegu skupiałem się na tym, żeby jak najszybciej przebiec pięć kilometrów i skończyć trening. Skończyło się na minimalnych pięciu kilometrach, chociaż pod koniec siły wróciły i przeszło mi przez myśl, żeby dobiec do końca pętli. Tak szybko, jak ta myśl się pojawiła, tak szybko uleciała i kilka metrów później zakończyłem piątkowy trening. Trzeba zbierać siły na weekend.

[ENG] After sleeping off the night shift, I went out for a jog. The sleep deficit made itself known, because I felt tired right from the start, and then for the entire run, I was focused on finishing the five kilometers as quickly as possible and ending the workout. It ended with a minimal five kilometers, although my strength returned towards the end, and the thought of finishing the loop crossed my mind. As quickly as the thought appeared, it disappeared, and a few meters later, I finished my Friday workout. Time to gather strength for the weekend.
