Nie tak planowaliśmy nasz wyjazd do Gdańska. Gdyby nie to, że miałem tam umówioną konsultację medyczną, to w taką pogodę pewnie nie wybralibyśmy się nad morze. Spacer po starówce w strugach deszczu nie należał do najprzyjemniejszych i jak najszybciej chcieliśmy wrócić do samochodu.

[ENG] This wasn't how we had planned our trip to Gdańsk. If it hadn't been for a medical consultation I had scheduled there, we probably wouldn't have gone to the seaside in such weather. A walk through the old town in the pouring rain was not the most pleasant experience, and we wanted to get back to the car as quickly as possible.

Mimo że mieliśmy parasole, i tak porządnie zmokliśmy, a nasze buty i skarpetki były doszczętnie przemoczone. W takich warunkach zdecydowaliśmy się więc na galerię handlową. To szczególnie ucieszyło żonę, a jeszcze bardziej zadowolona była z udanych zakupów.

*[ENG] Even though we had umbrellas, we still got thoroughly soaked, and our shoes and socks were completely drenched. Under these circumstances, we decided to go to a shopping mall instead. This particularly pleased my wife, and she was even happier with her successful shopping.
