Pogoda wciąż jest bardziej jesienna niż zimowa, tylko słońce gdzieś uciekło albo schowało się za gęstymi, stalowymi chmurami. A z tych chmur od czasu do czasu mży drobny deszcz. Nie jest to jednak coś, co zatrzymałoby mnie w domu.

[ENG] The weather is still more like autumn than winter, but the sun has skipped town or hidden behind thick, steel-gray clouds. And from these clouds, a fine drizzle falls from time to time. It's not something that would keep me indoors, though.

Sam nie wiem dlaczego, ale przed każdym środowym treningiem odczuwam lekki niepokój, że sobie nie poradzę. Jak zwykle w środę miałem dziś w planie trening tempowy (2-1-1), czyli po krótkiej rozgrzewce trzy odcinki w tempie około 5:30 min/km: pierwszy o długości dwóch kilometrów, a dwa kolejne po jednym kilometrze.

[ENG] I don't know why, but before every Wednesday workout, I feel a slight anxiety that I won't be able to handle it. As usual on Wednesdays, I had a tempo run (2-1-1) on the schedule today: after a short warm-up, three segments at a pace of about 5:30 min/km—the first one two kilometers long, followed by two one-kilometer segments.

Szybko okazało się, że jak zwykle strach miał wielkie oczy, a ja niepotrzebnie się zamartwiałem. Już na pierwszym, tym dłuższym odcinku musiałem się hamować, bo kiedy się rozpędziłem, zegarek alarmował, że tempo jest za szybkie. Dopiero później złapałem odpowiedni rytm, który utrzymałem już do samego końca.

[ENG] It soon turned out that, as usual, my fears were exaggerated, and I was worrying for nothing. Already during the first, longer segment, I had to hold myself back because when I sped up, my watch kept alerting me that the pace was too fast. It took a while to find the right rhythm, which I then maintained until the very end.
