Wczoraj zapowiedziałem dłuższe wybieganie, ale nie przewidziałem, że dziś w pracy wybuchnie panika w związku z zaplanowanym wyłączeniem niektórych systemów w jednej z lokalizacji. Mimo że zaplanowałem przerwę jeszcze przed rozpoczęciem całego zamieszania, i tak widziałem przerażenie w oczach szefa zmiany, gdy wychodziłem. Gdybym tego nie zrobił, później nie miałbym już szans na trening – mimo że ostatecznie wszystko poszło zgodnie z planem i systemy wróciły do normy.

[ENG] Yesterday I announced a long run, but I didn't foresee the panic at work today regarding the scheduled shutdown of some systems at one of our locations. Even though I had planned my break before all the chaos started, I could still see the terror in the shift manager's eyes as I was heading out. If I hadn't done it then, I wouldn't have had another chance later—even though everything eventually went according to plan and all systems came back online.

W związku z tym musiałem ograniczyć bieganie do około 50 minut. Początkowo biegło mi się dość ciężko, ale z czasem nogi „nabrały rozpędu” i było już dużo łatwiej. Żałowałem, że nie mogłem przebiec tyle, ile miałem w planie – zamiast 13 kilometrów musiałem zadowolić się ośmioma. Szkoda, ale następnym razem odbiję sobie te brakujące kilometry.

[ENG] As a result, I had to limit my run to about 50 minutes. Initially, it felt quite heavy, but over time my legs "picked up momentum" and it got much easier. I regretted not being able to run as far as I had planned; instead of 13 kilometers, I had to settle for eight. It's a shame, but I'll make up for those missing kilometers next time.
