Clínica de Baloncesto con mi Tío 🏀🧑🏻‍🏫 [ES-EN]

Hola comunidad de Full Deportes, el día de hoy tengo un post que me llena de entusiasmo alegría y también de mucho orgullo.

Resulta que mi tío es entrenador de Baloncesto desde hace mucho tiempo, pero también fue jugador asiduo de esa disciplina y también corredor de atletismo así que siempre ha estado inmiscuido en el mundo deportivo.

Me sorprendió de grata manera que mi propio tío se haya tomado el tiempo para confíar en mi trabajo de cámara y edición de vídeos para hacerle contenido. Ya lo había hecho antes, pero esta vez era en vivo en el lugar.

Se trataba de una Clínica Deportiva que daría en el Colegio Santiago de León de Caracas, en la Floresta capital de Venezuela.

Siendo honesto y conociendo la trayectoria de mi tío me alegro muchísimo que eso pasara ya que ha ganado campeonatos con su propio equipo de Baloncesto (Leones del Cementerio) y también con otros equipos en los que ha ayudado de entrenador y sub-entrenador así que tenía toda la experiencia para lucirse en esa actividad.

Hello Full Deportes community, today I have a post that fills me with enthusiasm, joy and also a lot of pride.
It turns out that my uncle has been a basketball coach for a long time, but he was also a regular player of that discipline and also a track and field runner so he has always been involved in the sports world.
I was pleasantly surprised that my own uncle took the time to trust my camera work and video editing to make content for him. He had done it before, but this time it was live on location.
It was a Sports Clinic that I would be giving at the Colegio Santiago de León de Caracas, in Venezuela's capital city of La Floresta.
Being honest and knowing my uncle's trajectory I was very glad that this happened since he has won championships with his own Basketball team (Leones del Cementerio) and also with other teams in which he has helped as coach and sub-coach so he had all the experience to show off in this activity.

Todo empezó coordinando nuestra llegada al Colegio, en principio nos iríamos juntos, pero como yo tenía una cita médica aproveché de ir para no dejarla pasar ya que es importante para mi; así que al salir del médico nos veríamos directamente en el sitio.

Al llegar me encuentro con una cancha cubierta de piso de madera de excelentes condiciones para llevar a cabo el entrenamiento.

Everything started coordinating our arrival at the school, in principle we would go together, but as I had a doctor's appointment I took the opportunity to go to not miss it as it is important to me; so after leaving the doctor we would meet directly on site.
Upon arrival I find a covered court with wooden floor in excellent conditions to carry out the training.

Quien acompañaba a mi tío era nada más y nada menos que el "Gura" Gabriel García, quien ha sido jugador profesional de baloncesto de Venezuela para diversos equipos y que incluso ha representado al país en torneos internacionales.

Who accompanied my uncle was none other than “Gura” Gabriel Garcia, who has been a professional basketball player in Venezuela for several teams and has even represented the country in international tournaments.

Debido a la experiencia de mi tío los participantes de la clínica eran diversos, desde infantes hasta un poco más grandes.

Los chicos estaban sumamente emocionados del entrenamiento porque además sería a 2 profesores 🤓

El recibimiento del Gura fue bien asertivo y cordial exigiendo la misma calidad de respeto para mi tío que con cualquier otro profesor de la institución y así fue; pero además se ganó el respeto de los alumnos y algunos representantes que estaban ahí con su pequeña demostración de entrenamiento y sus elocuentes palabra para con los participantes.

Me gustaría recalcar un momento en donde uno de los niños más pequeños se frustró porque creía que no estaba haciendo bien el trabajo y mi tío se le acercó para decirle que sí podía y luego pidió un aplauso del resto de los muchachos para con él y subirle el ánimo y literalmente fue lo que lo mantuvo motivado el resto de la clase.

Due to my uncle's experience the participants of the clinic were diverse, from infants to a little older.
The kids are extremely excited about the training because it would also be 2 teachers 🤓
The reception of the Gura was very assertive and cordial demanding the same quality of respect for my uncle as with any other teacher of the institution and so it was; but he also earned the respect of the students and some representatives who were there with his little demonstration of training and his eloquent words to the participants.
I would like to highlight a moment where one of the younger boys got frustrated because he thought he was not doing the job right and my uncle approached him to tell him that he could and then asked for a round of applause from the rest of the boys to cheer him up and it was literally what kept him motivated for the rest of the class.

A pesar de que en el recinto había todo para el entrenamiento, mi tío no chisto en llevar su bolso entero con sus cosas.

Empezamos con un calentamiento de trote y estiramiento luego fue dando forma a las técnicas de pie que son muy importantes en este deporte.

Despite the fact that there was everything for training at the venue, my uncle didn't hesitate to bring his entire bag with his stuff.
We started with a warm up of jogging and stretching and then he was shaping up the standing techniques that are very important in this sport.

La verdad aunque he visto juegos de los equipos de mi tío por TV y conozco de primera mano su pasión por el baloncesto era la primera vez que lo veía dar una clase y quedé en serio sumamente sorprendido por su técnica y sus habilidades, definitivamente lo bien aprendido nunca se olvida. Estoy seguro que seguirá llegando más lejos dejando en alto su nombre y el de toda la familia con su talento tanto pedagógico como deportivo.

Incluso al terminar las práctica, mi tío me dijo: "Cabeto tengo juego más tarde disculpa si no nos vamos juntos del todo". Él y Gura estaban agradecidos por las fotos y tomas de vídeo que saqué ese día para el contenido que les haré, pero más lo estaba yo por tomarme en cuenta para eso. De hecho esperé que mi tío llegara y disfrutamos de un café juntos mientras cenaba.

Ahora me toca armarle unos vídeos a mi tío para que siga mostrando la clase de don que tiene y que lo siga aprovechando.

The truth is that although I have seen games of my uncle's teams on TV and I know first hand his passion for basketball, it was the first time I saw him teach a class and I was seriously extremely surprised by his technique and skills, definitely what is well learned is never forgotten. I am sure that he will continue to go further leaving his name and that of the whole family high with his talent both pedagogical and sporting.
Even at the end of practice, my uncle said to me: “Cabeto I have a game later, sorry if we don't go together at all”. He and Gura were grateful for the photos and video footage I took that day for the content I will make for them, but I was even more grateful to him for taking me into account for that. I actually waited for my uncle to arrive and we enjoyed coffee together while he had dinner.
Now it's my turn to put together some videos for my uncle so he can continue to show the kind of gift he has and keep taking advantage of it.
