Nos levaram a crer que a atividade teórica é reflexiva enquanto a arte e a poesia seriam de caráter descritivo ou impressivo.

Para responder o que um ente é, a atividade reflexiva jamais pode ser o caminho mais eficiente. A essência da coisa precisa ser captada pela percepção intuitiva direta, no momento mesmo em que sua presença é apreendida pela consciência. A reflexão serve apenas como uma ferramenta de auxílio.

Deste modo o discurso teórico precisa ser mais como uma descrição detalhada do fenômeno comtemplado que pretende elucidar, do que uma reflexão abstrata.

Assim como o poeta, o filósofo busca transmitir a experiencia real, talvez com mais exatidão, e com objetivo de definição conceitual.

Mas desde que o ente em questão não seja uma pura possibilidade inventada pela mente, a única maneira de fazê-lo é através de intuição direta, fixação na memória, e transposição fidedigna para o discurso.
