Por que eu existo?

Já Santo Agostinho, muitos séculos antes já tinha colocado a mesma questão, mas partindo de uma experiência genuína que qualquer um de nós pode comprovar, chegou a conclusão que o eu pensante existe, mas sua existência não está de modo nenhum fundamentada no próprio eu, mas que para pensar precisa antes ter sido gerado, de modo que o pensamento de eu se funda na existência e não ao contrário.

Sei que sou, mas não sei por que sou, já dizia Santo Agostinho e qualquer um de nós ao investigar com sinceridade qual o sentido de nossa existência, fizer a pergunta: Por que eu existo? Verá que não há uma resposta ou um fundamento suficiente.
