My Actifit Report Card: August 2 2020
Stunning winter morning in Hunter Valley. Ladies cooked scummy breakfast and took themselves off to markets. That gave me chance to take the car to check for orchids.
Went to west side of town to Werakata SCA to look for white fingers orchids. Walked the track in the section I saw them last season. No luck.
Walked 10 metres in the bush and tracked all the way back parallel to the track. Found this blue fingers orchid - first sighting in this location.
Nice side on view - cyanicula caerulea
Did find the caladenia catenata a little further on
Side on view shows why I call this white swan orchid.
Bud for said white swan orchid.
Love the dew on this little purple daisy like flower
Drove to east side of the SCA to look for donkey orchids - not out yet but did get this wattle flower. August 1 is Wattle Day. Stink bug is the bonus
And a bright slice of lichen
We had lunch with friends - beer from a local brewery based in Carrington Newcastle.
Lunch was a surprise - Korean Army base stew based on ingredients supplied by US forces in Korean War (hot dogs, spam and processed cheese and Korean spices - lots of them)
A busy garden work weekend but great orchids heralding spring.

your lunch sounds interesting, I would love that stew I don't know if I could talk to Mrs. into making something like that though she's very picky LOL!
