My Actifit Report Card: September 13 2020

Body was not keen to get up. Birds were chirping. Sun was up. Cooked breakfast helped get the mind off stuff and the body moving.

My wife was keen to see the orchids I found yesterday. We did the east side of Werakata SCA to find the golden donkey orchids - a different cluster closer to the village of Kitchener

Did the shopping after and back to the house. I mowed the back half of the lawn and cleared more weeds.

Packed up and drive home via the west side of Werakata SCA. Walked a little more widely than the day before. Lots of caladenia catenata - pink version

Pink trim

My wife spotted this plant - bearded orchid not open enough to ID. I missed it the day before.

The carmine stripes on the column tells me this is caladenia carnea

Then a cluster of very pink caladenias - are they the same? Gurus will know. All that differs is the pink

Then my wife found another bearded orchid nearly fully open - purple bearded orchid

The basal glands = eyes tell me it is calochillus robertsonii

The detail is amazing

A softer pink

And across the fire trail

Caladenia carnea

Stopped by at a friend's place to pick citrus - kumquats for gin infusion.

Great weekend away.
