My Actifit Report Card: January 11 2021
Weather broke clear for a nice day. Wife working from home. Set down behind the computer to make a dent in updating accounts in one portfolio. Did March, April, May and some of June. Hard to look back and see some of the mistakes.
Went for a late walk to check on one orchid seen last week in bud hoping to find one in flower
Excited to find one flower - first of the season

I did pull a branch onto the edge of the track to protect the plant from the walkers. Flower is one foot into the track.
Walked further looking for bonnet orchids - found a large tongue orchid first

Did find the bonnet orchids in some new spots
The context photo shows this spot - right next to the sewerage manhole. All very good until the big storm rains pops the lid and then the plants all die when the sewage flows out

Nice cluster
With 3 orchids in flower I turned back and crossed the creek to check on a colony of chiloglottis plants. Found one in bud
Then spied a flower. I have known about this colony the six years I have searched for orchids and checked every week. First time to see a flower.

Dinner: BBQ under a clear sky. Kookaburra nabbed a steak off the plate when I zipped indoors to get something. Was too heavy and it did not get away with any. That is a new event.
