My Actifit Report Card: February 9 2021

Felt like it was a nothing day. Updated some accounts. Did some laundry.

Did some garden stuff. Went for the big walk later to check for orchids. 1st photo on the way into track

Day just drifted by - made a video to help out a mate. That took forever as PC crashed 4 times. Had to go down a version of Camtasia to get result. PC or software? Who knows

Well that was 24 hours ago. Video still not got a view. Orchids were found in new spots - bonnet orchid

A few new chiloglottis flowers on the south side in a known spot

Just fab to photograph when the light is over the shoulder

Any excursion off the track brings spiders - St Andrews Cross spider

Looked hard for corunastylis in a patch seen last week. No luck. Crossed the track and found one plant finishing - a new location. Corunastylis fimbriatus

Still a few tongue orchids flowering - north side

Walk back up the hill. One colony of bonnet orchids has had its environment changed with the shady tree fallen over = very few flowers. There are a few chiloglottis colonies on the edge of the rainforest - new flowers only

A bit more front on. Plant is an inch and a half tall - flower span is 5 mm and maybe 7 mm deep. That ant shape is the size of a large ant.

Next colony is a different species - see how the calli reach right across the labellum

Light was low and hard to get great focus - chiloglottis diphylla

Next is a photo of promise - a pterostylis orchid starting to push out a flower spike. This will be an early pterostylis nutans

It is going to be a great season this autumn. First acianthus leaves spotted too. Ginger lilies are a favourite - quite a few in flower. They only last a short while

My wife and I celebrated 12 years since we met. Dinner included a rocket, parmesan and pear salad - her favourite

My favourite - beef fillet on the bbq and a few spuds.
