My Actifit Report Card: February 11 2021
My day was getting to me. PC kept crashing while I tried to produce a simple 20 minute video. Headed to shops to get a few things bought. Shops were horrible though less than 30% wearing masks. Everyone is on edge.
Headed to walk a track I have not walked before. Have seen orchids at the head of the track but not walked the track. A few spider grevillea flowers.
Love the light on this favourite. Turned onto the Great North Walk through the high bush. A well worn track.
Was hoping to find midge orchids under the powerlines. No luck. Turned back and spied an orchid leaf on the ground - flowers just behind
Two bonnet orchids in flower just behind the leaf I spotted
These are a challenge to photograph as the bonnet is quite deep - cryptostylis erecta
Interesting fungus on the bottom of this eucalyptus perfectly match the colour scheme
Followed the track back to the powerline track.and then turned west when I hit the road (track). Found evidence of dipodium orchids now going to seed
The track follows the ridge line for ages - turned around before the drop off to the creek. Did find evidence of bonnet orchids here too but no flowers.
Love this little orange number - maybe 4 mm across
I discover that the loop back I had made off the Great North Walk took me into Muogamarra National Reserve - no walking allowed
Too bad. I now know how to enter in spring around the no entry sign. Not a lot of orchids but I have a feeling for earlier in the season. On the way back in the legal zone stopped to photograph this pea flower
It grows as a runner with quite distinctive leaves
As I had seen an orchid I took the highway back home and skipped the road back through Ku-ring Gai Chase NP.
A little garden tidy up when I got home
Dinner: Osso bucco from the weekend and fresh garden beans
Trade action: Sold FISV and WM and WDAY to raise cash. Did buy PYPL with FISV proceeds
