My Actifit Report Card: September 2 2021
Well, well. Another day rolls by and we cannot go anywhere. We can shop with masks on. The minute I step into the shop my brain goes to mush. Headache starts about the same time. I had a lost and used it in the first shop. Nkt the second - missed stuff. Took another detour to get one item.
Great Sydney rock orchid display at home. Went for a ride to walk a local track in Ku-ring Gai Chase NP.
First stop was to check on a sun orchid I saw the day before when I cycled up the hill. Only one flower open on a cooler day
Walked under the powerlines in the hope of finding waxlip orchids and maybe a fairy orchid
In a day or two there will be a bunch of flowers
Hit the powerline trail I have walked a few times
Pea flower time
This little pink number is little and close to the ground
Did find waxlip orchids where I expected
And another - this one deserves a zoom in. When you zoom into the others you see two wellington boots side by side. Not this one
Legs crossed.
Tear drop flowers are just emerging - for once a photo worked
This is a fab flower sent to challenge photographers - hairy bits are in focus but not the spiky bits
I kept bashing under the powerlines rather than follow the fire trail - found sun orchids ready to open = new location
Not one but two and at the junction with the fire trail
Two waxlip orchids
Nice view across Cockle Creek toward where I was walking a few days ago. I got back to the fire trail to overlap with the walk I did up from the marina the other day
Saw the smallest flash of light close to the ground - fairy orchid
Close up of a 2nd flower - caladenia alata - first time on this track. 3 flowers and a few more buds
Walk back was to look for emerging orchids - got a few of those. This is fairy orchid getting ready
Hard to say - leaf with no spike yet
Going to guess a bearded orchid on the way
Another bearded orchid a few days behind
